The end of the year has creeped up upon us like nobody’s business. Sometimes it feels like time is pass-
ing by so quickly and then there are times when it feels like the train is 24 hours late.
I’m sort of in a transition position in life right now. Many hopes and dreams are rac-ing in my mind and flowing through my fingertips. Sometimes I feel impatient and want to be in my future now. But then I’m faced with a very interesting thought: Bloom where you are now and you will succeed where you want to be. I have to voice that thought daily to remind myself – where I am now is key preparation time to where I want to be.
This “transition position” is a test to my patience, character and attitude. Will I suc-ceed? I know the answer and result is up to me. By working towards my desires daily I will get what I want. I mean since God is for me… who dare be against me?
I love what God says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, de-clares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’ (NIV). It’s a beautiful thing to know that God is with me whatever I decide to do.
I remember in the film The Count of Mon-te Cristo, when Edmond Dantes turned his back on God because he was wrongfully im-prisoned for life. Despite not believing in God anymore, Edmond’s old friend, Abbe
Faria, was quick to point out that God still believed in him. Think about that for a min-ute. I know that the old man’s statement will strike a chord within you. It did with me. Your dreams are worth fighting for. Just remember… do not give up on your dreams and they will not give up on you. ∆
