Catalyst How many molecules are in 2 moles of H2O?

How many atoms are in 2 moles of H2O?

2 mol x 6.02 x 1023 molecules = 12.04 x 1023 1 mol

Then, for the second question, first we find the number of atoms in a molecule of water. There are 3.

Then, this means that for every mole of water there are 3 moles of atoms. To get the final answer, multiply the answer from number 1 by 3.

3 x 12.04 x 1023 = 36.12 x 1023 atoms
