Dear Members:
So, you are a busy business owner, all caught up in theday-to-day operations. You hear about all the activitiesthat the Chamber is hosting and think all those activities
are great. But you find yourself saying things like,Aint nobody
got time for that!
Getting involved in community events like these is EXACTLYwhat Chamber members should be doing. You are the greatestadvocate for your business. Being a part of the activities is the
best way to make connections & grow your own business.
Over 1,400 people attended our September community event, LisleAle Fest. It was a big success, and the talk of the town! Manychamber members invested their time to help plan and execute. Idont believe any of them think it was a waste of their time. Thankyou to our committee chair,Tom Reif, for his leadership of ourteam, and of course toTom AlthoffandJill Eidukaswho reallyworked hard pulling all the details together. We had a total of 110
volunteers for the event as well.
They gave their time, talent andtreasure without hesitation. They connected with ourcommunity. Everybodys got time for that!
With important elections around the corner, a great idea thisOctober is to attend our Member luncheon on the 16that the LisleHilton. State Senator Michael Connelly and Representative RonSandack will speak to us and give us updates on the State ofIllinois.
There are several opportunities for your business in October.Go
to the Chamber website calendar and check them out! Hate goingalone? Youre not alone; so do I! Invite a friend/colleague, or letyour Chamber ambassador know. Your ambassador will be morethan happy to meet you there and save you a seat!
Bottom line: no more excuses. Your Chamber is waiting for you!

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEON
UPCOMING GENERAL MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEONS
Chuck Goff, a Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce member and Ambassador since April2014 serves as the Founding Director of New Tradition Funerals and Cremations. His
primary duty as Founding Director is to provide high quality funeral and cremationsservices at a reasonable price compared to traditional funeral homes.
Chuck enjoys his time as an Ambassador for the Chamber because it has put him incontact with a core group of Chamber members. He feels that being part of the Ambas-sadors gives each person a better opportunity to get know everyone and support one
another more closely.
Chuck has resided in Woodridge since 2006. In his free time he enjoys reading, learning, motorcyclingwith friends and spending time on the family farm. He leaves us with these words of wisdom, Bikers saythat it is about the ride, not the destination. The same is true for our lives. Let us fully experience ourrides in ways that help us to both learn who we are and avoid regret.
