Bishop’s Bible Reading Challenge March Reading List In January Bishop Lewis suggested making a resolution to read the Bible together this year. Here is the list for this week. The link backtothebible.org/reading-guide/15/1 will give the reading for each day.

Calvary Has a Choir for You! There are several musical opportunities at Calvary. For the Chancel, Handbell, Children’s, and Youth Handbell Choir please contact Mickey Fuson for information. Chancel Choir: Rehearsal: Thursday, 8-9:30pm and at

10:30am on Sunday morning. Chancel Choir sings at the 11am worship service each Sunday (September - July).

Adult Handbell Choir: Thursday from 7-8pm and then perform about 6 times a year.

Children's Choir: for second graders and older and meets on Sundays at 9:30am. We sing at the 11am service about 6 times a year.

A NEW CHOIR!! The Youth Handbell Choir: for grades 5-8. It meets on Sunday from 12:15-12:45pm. Grab a snack at coffee hour and come to Memorial Hall

The Occasional Choir: sings periodically at the 8:30am worship service. They meet in the morning at 8am to practice the piece to be shared that day during worship. If you are interested, please contact Wayne Kemp.

Love is Beautiful An Afternoon of Art and Music The Arts Council of Metropolitan Memorial UMC presents an Afternoon of Art and Music Sunday, October 15. At 3pm in the sanctuary, there will be a concert version of La Bohème by Puccini featuring Melissa Chavez, Elliot Matheny, Nicholas Carratura, and Lindsay Esponosa. At 4:30pm is the Exhibition Opening and Reception in the Great Hall “Love Is Beautiful: Sumi-e Paintings” by Yoshiko Oishi Weick. She will be at the opening and available to sign copies of her book. While the exhibition continues through November 26, M – F, 9am – 5pm, and Sunday 9am – 12:30pm, on Sunday, October 22 Yoshiko will provide a demonstration of her artwork.
