Cross Country hosted the CLHS Invitational, with the boys taking 1st and individual medals going to several team members on both the girls and boys side!; • JV Volleyball took 1st in the Green Ridge Tournament, playing 6 games to come out on top!; • Calvary softball played 4 competitive games in the Linn Tournament and travelled to 3 away games and their last home game on Friday as they prepare for Districts next week!; • Lady Lions Volleyball competed against Hallsville in a Pink Out game to raise awareness towards breast cancer research; • Lions Baseball had a great 16-3 WIN over Higbee at the CCAA fall tournament, giving a preview of more conference play in the spring!; • Choir, band and drama students led chapel at Trinity Lutheran School on Wednesday & we welcomed Pastor Schlie at Calvary’s chapel for the 1st time!; • Calvary staff attended the LEA Convocation Thursday and Friday to learn how to bet- ter serve our students while Calvary students enjoyed two relaxing days off! LETTER JACKET ORDERS DUE OCTOBER 17th – If you would like to order a Calvary letter jacket to have in time for Christmas and save on ship- ping and additional sewing expenses with our large school order, please return the Turkey Creek Golf Center order form to the school office by Thursday, October 17th. We will make sure all orders are placed with Turkey Creek and delivered to Calvary by Christmas. Base price for letter jackets are $240-250 with additional customizing available. We have sample jackets to check siz- ing in the office until October 17th. Lead time to receive jackets is 6-8 weeks. More information about individual patch ordering is available at Turkey Creek. Please ask for Donna. TRINITY SPAGHETTI DINNER THIS SUNDAY - Please join us this Sunday, October 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a spaghetti dinner in Trinity Lutheran Church’s Fellowship Hall located at 803 Swifts Highway. Proceeds from this dinner will support the students from Calvary Lutheran High School attending the “Walk for Life” in Washington D.C. in January 2020.

BENEFIT FOR CALVARY FAMILY MEMBER JACQUIE HOWSER - Please join the family & Friends of Jac-quie Howser, mother of Calvary junior Miranda Carter, as we help her fight cancer. The benefit will be held Saturday, October 19th at the Eagles Hall located at 1411 Missouri Blvd. in Jefferson City, MO. The night begins with a chicken dinner with all the extras and silent auction from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., adults $15, kids $8, kids 5 and under are free, carry-out will be available. Singers are invited to join us for two rehearsal on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran High School and before the service on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul in California, MO with the service starting at 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided for all singers on October 27. Music will be handed out at the first rehearsal. We will be singing in SATB so we need lots of participation! I am looking forward to making some amazing music with you!
