! JASON W. KRUG (b. 1978) is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. He holds a degree in music from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.!! Jason is a full-time freelance composer, arranger, clinician, and teacher. Since his first publication in 2006, he’s had over 150 compositions and arrangements published for handbells, piano, strings, choir, and organ. His works have been featured at festivals and workshops in the United States and beyond. In his spare time, Jason enjoys writing fiction, and has spent several years working on a young adult fantasy series, The Sadonian Chronicles. He also frequently participates in the National Novel Writing Month event in November.!! Jason continues to live in Indianapolis with his wife Ellen, his sons Daniel and Malcolm, and his feline creative consultants Marcus and Susan.

Bells, Blues, and BBQ will be held on the beautiful campus of the University of Memphis. Massed ringing and provided meals will be held in the Ballroom of the Holiday Inn U of M, and

classes will be held directly across the street at the Fogelman Executive Center and Hotel.

LODGING AT THE HOLIDAY INN : $125

An all-suite hotel, each room holds up to four guests comfortably for the group rate of $125 per night. The group rate is available until MAY 15, 2017. The Holiday Inn has an on-site restaurant and bar open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (Breakfast is not included in the room rate.) LODGING AT THE FOGELMAN CENTER : $99.00

The Fogelman Center features queen bed rooms in the same building as the classrooms. Call 901-678-5410 with the Code HFC for Handbell Musicians of America Area 6 Conference to get the conference rate. Rate is good until May 15, 2017.

OPTIONAL RIVERBOAT DINNER CRUISE : $65.00

Board the provided bus at the Holiday Inn for the 15-minute ride to Beale Street where you will have time to explore Beale and historic downtown Memphis. Walk one block down the bluff or ride the trolley ($1) to Beale Street Landing on the banks of the mIghty Mississippi and enjoy a two-hour BBQ dinner cruise. The buses will return to the hotel following the cruise.
