What Do Manatees Eat?

Manatees eat water plants like mangrove leaves, turtle grass, and types of algae

because they are herbivores. Manatees eat more than 100 pounds of water plants a day. Because of this, their teeth wear down, so their teeth fall out

and new teeth grow in.
