First Night is a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration of the arts on New Year’s Eve. Haddonfield’s 20th anniversary celebration will feature 30+ performances at 15 venues along the Kings Highway “spine” in downtown Haddonfield. The celebration begins at 5pm and runs to midnight, with a 15-minute fireworks display, visible from Kings Highway, at 9pm. Admission buttons cost $15. ($40 for a 4-pack through Christmas Eve.) Ticket prices for the four headliners’ regular performances typically are much higher than $15, so the cost to see four or five acts from among the 20 offered is a true bargain – plus free fireworks! Tips for first-time First Nighters: 1. Don’t try to do too much. 2. Choose one performance you really want to see and arrive at that venue early. 3. Choose performances that are located relatively close together, so you can walk from one to the next without rushing. To get to a more remote venue, hop on the shuttle bus. Enjoy!
