Business Outcomes Workshop What is a business outcomes workshop and who should attend? The workshop spans four hours and can be held in person or virtually. The workshop is for your leaders to share and collaborate openly about strategy, goals, opportunities and challenges. It is important that the attendees selected support this objective. The workshop is not a demonstration of software, discussion of technical require- ments or software training. For most organizations this is a C-Level workshop. Attendees should include leaders from every area of the organization that will be impacted by the initiative. The optimal attendee range is 5-8. Attendees must be able to clearly communicate the objectives of the initiative through your organization following the session. Here are the primary ways business outcomes are used: Communication vehicle to extended team Input for road map or scoping sessions Primary driver for on-going outcomes discussions and cadence Model for driving and gaining alignment for other initiatives How-to prepare for your workshop Workshop goals Workshop deliverables Define the primary outcomes and strategies for an initiative. Build alignment across the leadership team. Prioritize the outcomes by impact and effort. Identify the tactics the team believes will deliver those outcomes. Agree on success metrics for outcomes and tactics. After any clarifications are made the presentation will be delivered to the team in PowerPoint format. The workshop facilitator will lead a discussion to review the combined output the leadership team developed.
