Todays Message

The Plan of the Savior

Today is the last message of our series on theAdvent. When we began our series we said youcannot start in the middle, with Jesus in themanger, and fully comprehend the depth of thisevent. We had to go back to the beginning inGenesis 6: The Need of a Savior. We followed thatby looking in Isaiah 59: Gods Promise of a Savior,and then heard the Announcement of a Savior inLuke 2. Our Saviors birth was a great gift fromGod. But we must understand that this gift of God

is embedded in the grief of Gods heart which isconnected to the grief in our hearts.

But God had a plan. The birth of the Savior was awonderful announcement but it brought with it apronouncement of Gods Plan for the SaviorHisdeath. In our text today, we will see the grief thatGod put on Christ. Yet it pleased Him. Even in Hisdeath we can rejoice because the Savior came.Lets look together at Isaiah 53.
