USE CASE NO.1Add or remove individual Office 365 licenses
Introduction
To open the manage licenses tool navigate to: Office 365 Explorer > (select a tenant) > Office 365 > Licensing > Licenses. To open the tool click on the Manage Licenses button in the ribbon.

1. Open the Manage Licenses tool.
2. Select a tenant you want to manage.
3. Select licenses you want to add or remove.
Use case 1: Add or remove individual licenses 1/2
a) In case you want to remove a license press checkbox till you get the Minus sign mark.
b) or when you want to add a license press the checkbox till you get Plus sign.

When administrator needs to remove or add an individual license (Office Web Apps,
Lync Online, SharePoint Online or Exchange Online) for a user she should follow
these steps.

4. Select users for whom you willassign or remove licenses.
5. The wizard will perform the necessary changes and output final log.

USE CASE NO.2Bulk assign the entire Office 365 plan to users
1. Open the Manage Licenses tool.
2. Select a tenant you want to manage.
3. Select licenses you want to add or remove.
Use case 2: Bulk assign the entire Office 365 plan to users 1/2
a) In case you want to remove entire Office 365 Business Plan press the Plan checkbox till you get the -1 sign.
b) or when you want to add the license plan press the Plan checkbox till you get +1 sign.

In some cases where entire company upgrades from one Office 365 Business plan to
another (e.g. from E1 to E3) or when there is mixture of purchased plans there might
be a need to (re)assign a number of license sets. Here is how you can do that with our
tool.
