Reginald Adams, 1943
Drafted into the Navy in August of 1943 and spent two years in the Pacific arena on four
invasions. Leyte, Luzon, Okinawa, and Ie Shima. After the war, he attended Syracuse University earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Art
and Education. He was an art teacher at Jamesville DeWitt Central schools for 34 years. He has produced all kinds of art that has been and is displayed in several Art Galleries in the
Central New York area. In his 90’s, he still teaches art as a volunteer at a Veterans Hospital
and a Senior Center.

throughout the world. He has produced over 20 dance festivals in Eugene, Or and other American cities, featuring the work of internationally-renowned and
local dancers, and dance artists with disabilities. He performs throughout North, Central, and South America, Europe and Asia, receiving local, national
and international recognition. He has been recognized for his work and received numerous awards including: Fulbright Senior Specialist, 2007, Hong
Kong Choreographer of the Year Award, 2007, Asian Cultural Council Fellowship, 2006 and Guggenheim Fellowship, 2005.
Elected to the Ashoka Fellowship in 2009 for his action in setting in motion the people, resources and ecosystems that will bring about a social revolution
where everyone contributes to change for the good of all.

Sang leading roles in both ranges. Made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in
1932. She thrilled audiences around the world.
Among her recordings that remain in print is a broadcast performance of “Fidelio,” in
which she sang Leonore, with Arturo Toscanini conducting the NBC Symphony
Orchestra.

Richard Bredenberg, 1944
PhDGraduate from Dartmouth College with a major in philosophy and received a master’s degree in sacred theology from Oberlin College. He received a doctorate in philosophy from New York University and a doctorate of ministry from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Bredenbergjoined Eckerd College in 1965 and retired in 1991 as director of teacher education.
He launched an international exchange program that has attracted hundreds of Japanese students. Earlier, he taught at Occidental College in Los Angeles and Alfred University in New York state.

While located primarily in the Town of Evans, they provide services to many families throughout Western New York.

On July 4, 1992 at Sunset Bay, NY risking his personal well being, he swam out and rescued three young men being swept away by the current, and towed them back to safety with his personal rescue buoy. The American Red Cross recognized his action and awarded him a citation, signed by President George W. Bush.
He auditioned for and got the part of Hucklebee in the " FANTASTICKS " at the Broadway Palm Theater in Fort Myers. Delivering his performance on 56 occasions.

With a BS in Elementary Education, in Maine she helped to establish a summer day care project for children with Cerebral Palsy that turned into a year round program.
With her husband Ken Horn (‘60), established the first certified organic farm in the country. After retirement, she began spinning, dying and creating wool garments which led to her being the Artist in Residence in the City of Bangor Schools, working the third graders there.
Currently volunteers for the US Fish and Wildlife Service at various Wildlife Refuges. On these trips, she demonstrates spinning and teaches beginning painting.

Died as a prisoner of war in the Cabanatuan Prison in Manila, Philippines, following the fall
of Corregidor. Part of the Bataan “Death March”. First Coast Guard POW since War of 1812. He is a role model for the U.S. Coast Guard. The Coast Guard Academy Football Team dedicated their 2014 Season to him, a hero who truly lived and died by the Coast Guard’s core values of honor, respect and
devotion to duty.

He developed many products and techniques used in radiation therapy, including a means of rotation therapy first used at ECMC in the 1950s. He was a member of the Buffalo Police Department's scientific staff, and developed a method of investigating the medical aspect of homicides

space in Upton Hall, Buffalo State College devoted exclusively to display of student art.
