The Maine-Anjou breeders have held nothing back and have stacked the field deep offering to you 68 performance driven with eye-appeal bulls and 25 foundation lots of females and flushes. This sale is loaded with elite show heifers, future donors, rare flushes, promotional and herd bulls.

Maine-Anjou breeders have diligently worked at breeding cattle that are problem free. There have been many steer trials in recent time that have shown without a doubt (WDA) weight per day of age and feed conversion are key attributes in Maine-Anjou genetics. With feed costs and other input costs rising all the time feed conversion is a must to be profitable in the cattle business.

2012 Bright Lights Sale • H • January 14, 2012

[[Terms: Terms of the sale are cash or check, payable immediately upon conclu-sion of the sale and before animals will be moved. Seller will reserve the right to require a certificate check as settlement before releasing any cattle.

Risk: All animals are the owner’s risk prior to their sale and become property of the purchaser as soon as declared “sold” by the auctioneer (but will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time).

Bidding: All animals sell to the high-est bidder. Any disputes or challenges regarding bids will be settled by the auctioneer and his decision will be final.

Health: All animals sell with proper individual health certificates making them eligible for transport to most destinations within the U.S.

Announcements: Announce-ments from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in this catalog.

Registry Certificates: All ani-mals shall carry papers from the Ameri-can Maine-Anjou Association. All papers will be transferred and mailed to the new owner at the consignor’s expense.

Shipping: Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale, but no risk will be assumed by the seller. Expenses incident thereto are the re-sponsibility of the purchaser, who should furnish shipping instructions at time of settlement.

Breeding Guarantee: Bulls: All bulls are guaranteed to be breeders. It will be the responsibility of the buyer to have the bull semen tested before he is turned out with cows or before 15 months of age, whichever comes first. If not done, the seller is not responsible. Any bull that has not proven himself a breeder, the matter shall be reported in writing to the

seller within six (6) months following the purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached 15 months of age. Seller will then have the right or privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. Any bull that has not proven himself a breeder that is healthy and in good condition may be returned to the seller at the buyer’s expense. If the bull should fail to prove a breeder, the seller at his option, can return either purchase price to the buyer or replace the animal with another of equal value in settlement and satisfaction of all claims. In no event, shall the seller be responsible for more than purchase price. If the bull becomes a non-breeder by reason of injury, negligence or mismanagement, the seller’s guarantee shall be void.

Liabilities: It is to be clearly under-stood that the AMAA, the sale manager and all their representatives act only as a medium between the buyer and seller. They are not responsible in any way for failure on the part of the buyer and seller to live up to his/her obligations to collect or enforce collections of monies between parties. Any legal actions, that may in exceptional cases be taken, must be buyer and seller.

Accidents: Although every precau-tion will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of the buyers and those attending the sale, the AMAA, or seller, or sale manager do not assume any responsibili-ties in the matter and each disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property.

Contract: The above terms and con-ditions of sale shall constitute a contract between buyer seller of each animal and be equally binding on both. Animals that are resold following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by these sale terms and conditions.
