MISSION STATEMENT: Blessed Trinity Catholic Church Stewardship Community recognizes Jesus is Lord. We believe that
our Time, Talent and Treasure are gifts from God to be used for the spiritual, educational and social needs of
our community, the Diocese and the world at large, especially the poor.
STEWARDSHIP BY THE BOOK
The Gospel today is sometimes called “the Gospel in miniature” because it so concisely
sums up the Gospel message. In even more condensed form, “God loved...God gave…”
is the paradigm for stewardship—we give because we love.
WORD OF LIFE
“Families are images of the ever-creative power
and life of the Holy Trinity and the fruitfulness
of the relationship between Christ and his
Church.”

Adults, pg 409. www.goo.gl/ny5A1G

In the Gospel of Matthew 28:19 we hear Jesus instruct his Apostles, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” This is, of course, one of many references in Holy Scripture to the Holy Trinity which we celebrate on this Solemnity today.
When we receive the Eucharist at Mass, we are receiving more than the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ; we are also receiving the Father and the Holy Spirit because they are all One. This concept of Three Persons in one God is surely a mystery beyond our comprehension. We take this belief on faith as part of our Catholic beliefs because our human brains can never fully understand it.
We received the Holy Spirit when we were confirmed, but we also received the Father and the Son. When we look at the Tabernacle which is in every Catholic Church throughout the world, we know that Christ is present, but the Father and the Holy Spirit are as well. They all dwell in heaven which means that our Tabernacle might be called a “gateway to heaven.”
Do we think of all this when we come into the church, when we attend Mass? We
should. The Holy Trinity is present there every hour of every day and every day of
every month and every year. That is one of the reasons we need to attend Mass — to understand and celebrate the Holy
Trinity.

Donna-Marie offers words of encouragement, as well as traditional and original prayers for women who are single, married, mothers, consecrated women, and single mothers, while straightforwardly addressing specific difficulties in women’s lives, with prayers for stress, complicated pregnancies, and walking through divorce. SEEKING DONATIONS In July, Life Teen will be traveling to Atlanta for a powerful weekend at the Steubenville Youth Conference, followed by a week of camping and outdoor excursions in Tennessee. Our teens have been busy working and fundraising all year, in preparation for the trip. In the past, our parishioners have been so generous in donating Scrip/gift cards to help us off-set the costs for food and necessary supplies. Any monetary or gift card (Wal-Mart is great!) would be greatly appreciated!! This trip proves to be such an encouraging & inspiring experience in the faith life of our teens, so please contact Julie if you would like to contribute or have any questions: [email protected] Thank you for your support.

whole community. It is a privilege to be that family

someone to avail of this privilege, should the ushers
bring up the gifts.

OUR FREEZER IS GETTING LOW Thanks to the generosity of so many cooks the Bereavement ministry has been able to provide luncheons for many grieving families. However, Bereavement’s freezer is now getting low on food. We are again asking for your help. Also, be sure to ask for a replacement pan when you drop off your casserole at the church office. Thank you for taking on this ministry of offering hospitality and comfort to those who are grieving the recent loss of a loved one by preparing food for them. It is a kindness that is long remembered by the families served.

PEACE & SOCIAL JUSTICE Did you know that it is
estimated that small
coffee farmers profit
about one cent for
each cup of coffee
sold? Ethiopian
farmers have begun
uprooting their coffee
trees in order to clear
the land for food crops which they can use for sustenance.
Some farmers and their employees and families are growing
illegal narcotics in order to make enough money to send their
children to school and provide for their families. When you
make the conscious decision to purchase FAIR TRADE coffee,
tea, hot chocolate cocoa & olive oil, you are putting the
values of Catholic Social Teaching into action, and working to
create social and economic justice. We are selling FAIR
TRADE coffee, tea, hot chocolate cocoa & olive oil after Mass
today. We now have single serve coffee.

REQUEST FOR WOMEN VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST WITH MINISTRY AT MARION COUNTY JAIL The Marion County Jail chaplain has requested women to provide a Catholic service for women at the jail (600 NW 30th Ave) on Fridays from 1:30-3 p.m. Our current prison ministry has been to the 4 units at the women's prison in Lowell, but not at the jail. The time & travel commitment for the jail is somewhat less than the prison and the time frame may be compatible with school moms and retirees who don't want to volunteer at night. The service is based on the weekly Mass readings, followed by discussion. Much of prison ministry involves just being available to the ladies for talk and possibly prayer. No training is required. Volunteers need to be in good standing with the Church and adhere to Catholic teaching and be compassionate and non-judgmental. Unless someone else wants to take this on on their own, I will go, but would like to have at least one other volunteer accompanying. For the chaplain to call and request this speaks to a great need; it's very unusual. So if you are willing to give it a try or for more information, please call Laurel Wilson at 352-694-2286 (home) or 352-426-2328 (cell) or e-mail [email protected].
FAITH FIT RADIO INSPIRES AND INFORMS WITH
NEW LOCAL SHOWS Faith Fit Radio is a tool for missionary disciples of the local, young
Church created by the Diocese of Orlando to enkindle a deeper faith
among young adults and to help lead people to a faith that is fully
alive! In addition to streaming EWTN national programs, Faith Fit
Radio introduces three new local shows by young adults who are
providing a witness to their faith through conversation and giving
others reason for the hope we have in Christ.

Hello Blessed
Trinity
parishioners
I am
Daniel Perez, a
seminarian
from
our Diocese of
Orlando, and I
am joyous
to announce that
I will be staying here for
the months of June and July.
I just finished my 3rd year of
seminary at St. john Vianney
College seminary in
Miami and I come from Blessed
Sacrament CC parish in
Clermont, FL. As soon as I
arrived I felt at home. I am looking
forward to meet as many of you as I
can and do not hesitate to
say hello. Thank you for your time
and God Bless.
Que Dios los bendiga y
que nuestra Madre Maria los quide.
Hello, my name is
Eddiel Rivera Salgado.
I have been a
seminarian for the
Diocese of Orlando for
three years now. I was
born May 18, 1996, in
Puerto Rico and
moved to Kissimmee in 2002. In Puerto
Rico my mom would always take my sister
and I to Mass every Sunday. I have an uncle
who is a priest and since I was four years
old, I always said I wanted to be like him,
and would “play Mass” with my family
members as a child. Because of difficult
circumstances, when my family moved to
Florida, we stopped going to Church,
except maybe for Christmas and Easter.
After ten years of relatively little instruction
in the faith, I told my mom that I wished to
receive First Communion and Confirmation,
so she quickly inscribed my sister and I.
During that year of catechism I fell in love
with the Church very strongly. After
receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, I
began to feel the urge to bring Christ and
salvation to others through the Priesthood. I
discerned this call for two years in high
school, and when I graduated I decided that
the only way to truly discern God’s call in
my life was in the seminary. I was accepted
December of 2013 and entered St. John
Vianney College Seminary August of 2014.
These last couple of years in the seminary
have been full of some of the greatest
blessings and graces of my life, and I hope
that this summer will be another chance for
growth and of building relationships with
another community of faith.
CAN YOU SPEND 1 HOUR WITH JESUS?
Every Sunday at 3:00pm in the Adoration
Chapel we pray Divine Mercy Chaplet and the
Rosary. Please join us!!
