LIVESTOCK PHILIPPINES 2015 and PHILMEAT 2015 opened their third edition with new technologies featured on the exhibition floor and scientific presentations given at the international conferences.
A wide array of state-of-the-art products, technologies and services for the livestock, poultry and meat industries were displayed by 229 local and international companies. The Livestock Philippines 2015 and PhilMEAT 2015 International Conference featured pertinent discussions during simultaneous tracts on Animal Health, Nutrition and Production, Animal Nutrition, Feed Production and Manufacturing Technology.

For the second time since the Livestock Philippines started in 2011, President Aquino cited the event as a great venue for the sharing of ideas and exploring of partnerships. Also gracing the opening of the exhibition were Agriculture Secretary, Proceso Alcala, Agriculture Undersecretary for Livestock, Jose Reaño, and UBM’s President, M. Gandhi.
The Livestock Philippines 2015 and PhilMEAT 2015 International Conference continued to update stakeholders on Meat and Meat Products Processing and Marketing, Poultry Health, Nutrition and Production (Chicken – Broiler, Layer; Duck).
The cowboy-themed Livestock Industry Recognition Night capped the day’s events with the Senate Agriculture and Food Committee Chair, Cynthia Villar, as Guest of Honor. The Animal Feeds, Veterinary Drugs and Biologics Control Division of the Bureau of Animal Industry honored eighteen companies with facilities that currently conform to international standards, while the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) has honored thirteen companies that demonstrated exemplary performance in export ventures for the past year.

Our services are comprehensive stages of operation that we wholly provide to our consumers,” explains Ronald A. Macali, General Manager of FAMSUN- Muyang Holdings Co., Ltd.
Aside from a new name, flexibility makes FAMSUN a standout from its counterparts. “We are much flexible as we can use and customize the design whatever is necessary for our customers as well as what the market needs. Our aim is to benefit both the farmers and the consumers: help the farmers reduce their operating costs but at the same time, the consumers getting the quality product that they need,” tells Mr. Macali.
As one of the crowd drawers, Mr. Macali hopes to have a bigger space in the next staging of Livestock Philippines in 2017. But his ultimate goal is for FAMSUN to help Filipino livestock farmers achieve production efficiency. “In the local livestock business, a lot are still in the backyard. As I’ve always said, FAMSUN stands true to our vision and that is to help the farmers in achieving a cost-efficient production method - reduced production costs but yielding quality products that the market needs,” says Mr. Macali.

Livestock Philippines 2015 and PhilMEAT 2015 saw an event that grew by 50% additional exhibition space from its predecessor, and presented a wider array of up-to-date technology in the exhibition and conference halls, which kept the exhibitors, visitors, delegates and speakers busier with more activities over the three days of the event.
