Brands that would shape a new market FROM SMALL BRICK & MORTAR DEALERS TO GLOBAL PARTS BUSINESSES

Some of the best innovations come out of your passions. That’s what happened when Danny and a team of passionate motorcycle athletes and enthusiasts began to envision new online OEM parts, accessories, and after market brands. Everything was moving online and brick and mortar dealers were going out of business left and right.

We researched the viability for the brands, mapped out the opportunity, developed the technology, and started approaching brick and mortar dealers to partner with. After months of travel and vetting we hand selected 4 dealers that we thought could scale the brands.

Each startup had a unique, but similar strategy, and was delicately positioned. With one brand we even partnered with Kawasaki and Monster to design and build a professional race team that would act as the marketing vehicle.

Working closely with each of the brands we made sure they took pride in carefully understanding their customers needs and desires.

We are happy to say that each of the brands now sells and distributes parts globally while representing nearly 30-40% of the market.

Decoding Influencers BUILDING AN INFLUENCER PLATFORM TO IMPROVE RETAIL SELL THROUGH

Experticity was created to address the need for a better buying experience. Better for the consumer, the retailer and the brand. With an ocean of product specs and reviews only a few clicks away, expert opinions are essential to clarify, expedite and close many sales.

Experticity onboards and validates experts (a.k.a. category influencers), trains them and connects the influencers with the world’s top retailers and brands to create more informed, more satisfying buying experiences for consumers. Experts are professional users of the products and/or retail sales people.

Experts get rewarded for their training efforts and knowledge. Retailers see dramatic improvement in sell through. And brand realize significant growth fueled by their army of influencers.

Experticity began servicing small brands and retailers in the outdoor sporting goods market. Since inception, the company has worked with over 700 brands and over a million experts in dozens of industries, from cosmetics to apparel to automotive parts.

Building a brand with heart A STERLING SILVER JEWELRY COMPANY FINDS A GROWTH FRAMEWORK

Some of the best innovations take shape when people with a wide range of different skills, perspectives, and disciplines come together. That’s what happened when Tomas hired Beckett Industries.

Tomas Jewelry envisioned a global jewelry brand that would sell directly to the consumer via an internet business. The challenge: design and build 4 distinctive brands and language that represent one cohesive mission of Tomas Jewelry.

We minted 4 new brands all with their own identity and language, Tomas Jewelry, Emily by Tomas, Bodyart By Tomas, and Hotsilver. The main objective was to provide a place for a range of people to purchase sterling silver jewelry - from kids, parents, professionals, and more.

Beckett Industries then created 5 websites that would be unique to each brand, but all be linked and work seamlessly together with one cart. We also created a new wholesale buying experience that would help streamline their wholesale business unit and make more efficient and profitable.

The last part was the digital marketing and social. We designed a robust marketing framework that included a focus on social and Facebook. We leveraged user generated contests, conversion pages, and email workflows to drive the highest ROI.

Helping a lifestyle brand scale up A NEW PRODUCT LINE, REPOSITION, AND A NEW FOCUS ON SOCIAL

One Industries began as a small band of riders driven by a common passion and a belief that they could do better. In 1997 the army began assembling in the heart of San Diego, California. First they revolutionized motocross graphics, but soon after started designing and marketing a complete line of innovative products for moto and bike riders.

ONE has been recognized as a world leader in moto graphic kits and seat covers since it was founded. Before long they were delivering industry leading moto gear, moto helmets, moto gloves and casual wear to hard core moto riders all over the world.

In 2012 ONE Industries came to us as a struggling action sports lifestyle brand. We helped the company launch a new product line of mountain bike gear and mountain bike helmets, reposition the brand, and create a growth strategy purely around social. Our efforts would lead to a profitable sale of the company.

The company has since continued to grow and is driven to make the best possible products for riders - motocross and downhill mountain bike.

Using influencers to drive leads A MOBILE COMPANY USES INFLUENCERS AND SOCIAL TO DRIVE LEADS

Established in 2002, Boost Mobile is part of the Sprint Prepaid Group. Operating on Sprint’s nationwide Sprint 4G LTE Network and reaching more than 250 million people, Boost Mobile redefines value for wireless consumers with more data for less and no long-term contracts. Its award-winning customer service has been recognized more than eight times.

Boost mobile came to us wanting to leverage action sports athletes and social media to drive highly qualified leads and brand awareness. We designed a strategy where top athletes would give away their Boost phones on Facebook every week. We also forced people to like the page before they could enter a valid email address for a chance to win. Within the first week we were generating more than 2k unique leads per week that Boost Mobile could begin to nurture into active paying customers.

Contests just got cool again DESIGNING A REVOLUTIONARY NEW WAY FOR PEOPLE TO WIN FREE STUFF

SwagTag is an app that lets users upload user generated content into contests and then rack up points for likes, shares, and boosts, and win free stuff from the brands they love.

People, (both users and brands) have been complaining about contests for years. For the users it’s the apps, creativity, fragmentation, ease of use, Facebook, and the outdated“Enter your email and win”.

For brands, it’s the process, the apps, the technology, the legal & rules, the details & fragmentation, and the fact that…no one even cares.

So, where to begin? We started with the users. What do they actually want: have fun, win free stuff, and make it easy to win and participate. Ok, so we designed a new experience that would let them quickly post UGC to a contest, rack up points, and win free stuff.

Now, what do the brands want? An easy to use marketing tool that they can publish a UGC contest in minutes across all their marketing channels and start collecting real content, emails, and influencers. Ok, so we designed and built a dashboard that allows them to craft and manage their contests with ease, review analytics and reports, and repeat what works. And, only pay for results.

A global plan for sports ministry CREATING A NETWORK THAT CONNECTS, TRAINS, AND EDUCATES STAFF, LEADERS, AND VOLUNTEERS ACROSS CONTINENTS.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives… one heart at a time. Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.

How do you design a global plan for sports ministry using technology?

After a multi-year relationship and extensive research, we developed long term sustainable technology roadmaps that resulted in four websites that today equip, train, and minster to millions of people worldwide.

We experience the same two problems that people in cities worldwide experience:

1. Public transportation needs improvement and 2. Car service is a great option but expensive.

Over the years we’ve started several companies – for ourselves and for others. We recently changed our name to Beckett Industries in 2015 to reflect our 100 year vision to design and innovate some of the worlds best products and services.
