To Parents and Carers Year 6 Graduation Assembly Yesterday afternoon we farewelled our Year 6 students at the graduation assembly. It was great to see so many parents and relatives present enjoying this special moment with their children. I would like to thank Mrs Marcia Dowling for her time working with the Year 6s preparing their graduation song which they sang as they left the assembly. In the evening the students enjoyed themselves at their dance and dinner at the Mills Park recreation centre. The room looked great and was a credit to the hard working parents who decorated it, thank you so much. Mr Fletcher is also to be commended for all of his efforts with arranging the Year 6 special events this year. On behalf of all staff and students at the school, I wish them all of our graduating students the very best for their future years.

PRESENTATION ASSEMBLY At last Friday's Presentation Assembly the following students from each Pre Primary to Year 5 class were recognised for their achievements over the year. Congratulations to you all!

Mental Maths Competition

During Weeks 7, 8 & 9 of this term, all classes from Pre-Primary to Year 6 have competed in a Mental Maths Competition. The students were given 20 mental maths questions per day for 3 weeks and then the results were compiled to see who the weekly champions were per class and then the overall winner from each classroom. All of the student’s results were added to give the classroom a score and these results were then used to determine who the Pre Primary, Junior, Middle and Upper Primary class Champions were for 2017. There were some very tight battles between individual students to see who would be the overall champion in individual classes, but there were also some very close results to see which class would be announced as the Champion for Pre Primary, Junior, Middle or Upper Primary.
