As a pioneer in wellness, we were one of the first to discover just how important it is for you, our guests, to relax. What’s more, our skilled team is on hand to advise and care for you – assisted by the inspiring settings we have created over the course of the past decade with our Atrium spa, as well as our water and sauna worlds with the Ying Yang pool and the Sunken Temple, stretching across 7,000m2.

Posthotel Achenkirch – Kraftritual(approx. 50 mins) € 82,- | 90,- Hedi and Dr. Hu Ji have developed the Posthotel Kraftritual together with our wellness team in order to settle our guests into the recuperation stage of their holiday. Over 30 years’ worth of experience with wellness treatments at the Posthotel Achenkirch has helped to shape this wellness ritual which helps our guests leave their day-to-day stresses and strains behind them.

To start this wonderfully relaxing wellness ritual, you can get tucked up in a warm and cosy bed with pre-warmed feet and as many soft blankets as you desire. After some gentle swaying and rocking movements, the therapist will start to concentrate on your head, shoulder and neck areas. Relaxing holds are com-bined with various vital points. We use high-quality, intense sub-stances in our Alpine herb emulsion to impart relaxation and vitality.

Tiroler Steinöl Signature Treatment(approx. 80 mins) € 102,- | 112,- To start, indulge in a soothing full-body oil treatment with hydro-philic oil massaged into your skin. This is followed by stone oil peeling treatment, which, thanks to the natural products we use, is even perfect for those with sensitive skin.

This process gently removes dead skin, whilst replenishing your skin with minerals. What’s more, this treatment stimulates circula-tion, encourages detoxication and increases your skin’s elasticity.

To finish, relax in a vitalising, refreshing bath with Tyrolean stone oil and lather your body in stone oil body milk.

RitualsThey mark turning points in your life, accompany us through the highs and lows. An almost archaic ritual is the build-up to a primor-dial stone massage: mystical chants, the clang of stones, the aro-matic fumes of Alpine smoked resins.

PassageWe turn our backs on the past. As such, the wellness ritual starts with your back. Silver quartzite stones are pre-heated in hot water and carefully polished. To start, they are placed on the soles of your feet and moved across your body, lightly and gently so you can feel the oscillations from the stones deep within your core. You then turn to lie on your back and the front of your body is treated with ener-gising flower essences from wild Alpine herbs. Stone oil – a special type of oil obtained from oil shale from the Karwendel mountain, the use of which has been renowned for hundreds of years. After another 20 minutes of relaxation, a massage would be the perfect end to the treatment as your muscles and tissue are warm.

Small shale particles are used to gently remove dry skin cells. Any rough areas, excessive cornification and impurities on the surface of your skin are eliminated. People were putting the healing powers of the Dead Sea to good use as early as ancient times. The Aegyptos wrap consists of the finest healing clay, salt from the Dead Sea, and minerals. Using gentle circular massaging techniques and sense-stimulating Ayurasan preparations, your sense of sight, smell, hearing and taste will all be tuned into the Ayurasan methods. Pleasantly warm oils are used to stimulate blood flow in your scalp, creating an extremely nourishing effect for your hair and scalp. During the wonderfully relaxing face massage, special stroke and pressure techniques are used, taking the vari-ous marma vital points into consideration. The Cellcosmet & Cellmen skincare ranges are designed to take the biological age and hormonal identity of your skin and pro-duce immediate results. Natural, organic substances revitalise your skin and it becomes more soft and smooth to the touch. The products contain cells which were obtained using biotech-nology (they do not contain cell material from animals).

TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINETraditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is thousands of years old and is becoming evermore popular and accepted across Europe. TCM involves numerous treatments, such as acupunc-ture, Chinese Tui na, moxibustion, Chinese pharmacology, Tai Chi or Qi Gong. It centres around treatments concerning the energy flow within the body and as such, vitality. The feeling of well-being and relaxation which sets in as a result of the treat-ment is often commented upon and this can heighten your holi-day feeling whilst resolving blockages and discomfort. The aim? Take as much vitality and “joie de vivre” as possible on the rest of your journey.

Acupuncture This treatment involves very thin needles being inserted into the acupuncture points located along the meridian which creates the feeling of slight pressure or tension. Each point has specific ther-apeutic effects whilst the acupuncture has a general effect on the body’s vital energy through the meridian system as a whole. As such, acupuncture can be used to cure illnesses and has positive effects on knee, muscle and joint pain, for example.

Chinese Tui na The Chinese Tui na has considerable success in healing patients with chronic illnesses and is also effective for staying healthy. The Tui na massage resolves blockages in the meridians whilst stim-ulating energy circulation. Stiff joints and muscles are loosened, vitality and resistance to illness are both strengthened.

MoxibustionMoxibustion is also an extremely old, natural therapeutic method originating in China. It involves holding the end of a li cigar made from Chinese mugwort approximately 2cm above selected acupuncture points. This stimulates primal energy which encourages growth and helps combat diseases involving physical weakness. It can also be used for a multitude of prob-lems, such as arthritis, rheumatism or muscle numbness.

AcupressureAcupressure is performed according to the same principles as acupuncture and is also used during acupuncture. However, the points are not stimulated using needles, but by applying strong pressure with the fingers. Acupressure and massages can often be combined.

CuppingCupping treatments are used to fight off colds and for excessive moisture, such as with arthritis, rheumatism or stomach pain etc.
