Bauer Media Group is the publisher of the hugely popular Kerrang magazine, it is based in Hamburg, Germany. They publish over 600 magazines worldwide. Their first British magazine was in 1987 and it was called “Bella magazine”. This made them Britain’s third largest publisher, in 1991 Bauer were the first magazine to have TV listings, which they still do to this day, called “TV choice”. These are a few of the magazines Bauer publishes, there are a range of genres, from Cars to rock music, this means that Bauer don’t really have a niche audience except for the age group of being 18-25 year olds. They also have a range of radio and TV channels, meaning they can advertise their magazines on these stations. One radio station published by Bauer is “Absolute radio” there are varieties of this type of radio, so that it covers a wide range of audience from “ABC1” to “CD2E” and from 18 year olds to 50 year olds. One TV station is Smash hits, this is a music channel on TV that shows the latest music, this is aimed at a younger target audience then the radio channels because a younger audience is more likely to watch TV then listen to the radio Curtis Oldroyd
