The winches of this series are ideal for seasonal contracts in telecommunication applications and electricitysupply cable network maintenance where reliability, mobility and low space requirements are essential.

ReliabilityIn order to ensure constant readiness for use, the winches of this series are equipped with proved measuringand controlling devices normally found in the heavy-duty series of winches. The pulling force is logged by thePC 210 pulling force control and recording device.

MobilityThe relatively low weight of this compact type of winch, ready for use, i.e. between 1100 and 1200 kg,depending on the type, plus the overrunning brake, allow it to be towed by normal passenger car.

Maximum power within minimum of spaceThe winches of this series are driven by a two-cylinder four-stroke petrol engines via infinitely variable,hydrostatic transmissions. As in the heavy-duty series, the pull is generated by a twin capstan assemblywithout undue stress on the wire rope.

The winches of this series are ideal for all kind of cable laying projects, seasonal contracts in telecommunicationapplications and electricity supply cable network maintenance where reliability, mobility and low spacerequirements are essential.

The complete power pack including operation panel is frame mounted and fully enclosed by a lockablesoundproofed steel sheet casing with an overall length, including tow-bar, of just 2900mm.

Apulling force limit-switch stops line pull as soon as thepreselected pulling force is reached. During pull thecurrent force will be indicated on a gauge.

Tractions in angles up to 90° (e.g. in manholes) can beenabled by a deflection boom. It will be connected tothe swivel pulley at the rear of the winch.

The winch is totally closed completely during operation;only the panel has to be lifted up.

KTW 1005 with wheels, towing bar, automatic ropelayer and triple beam (extra equipment) forsewerage cleaning jobs.

The cable winch KTW 500 is a universal tool for a widerange of applications.

In underground pipe renewal, the winch may be used forpulling and positioning measuring instruments or camerasor for pulling heavy winch ropes into pipes.

For cable pulling, the winch may be equipped with a pullingforce measuring clockwork. The winch is specially suitedfor laying light power and control cable on ships, and inindustrial power plants. Owing to its compactness andlight weight it may be used as part of the outfit of anynormal workshop van.

The winch is extremely easy to operate. For rope payout,the drum is disengaged from the chain drive. For pulling,the chain drive is re-engaged, the engine is started byhand and the pulling speed is controlled by the hydrauliccontrol lever, which ensures jerkless pulling.By means of the hand-wheel on top, the rope can easilyand neatly be stacked on to the drum during pulling.
