4.1 NoticeHuman injury may be caused if operators do not operate according to the manual. In order to

prevent from accident, please refer to the followings:

4.1.1Check whether there is obstacle on each component before running the machine. Inch run

the machine one circle (8 gripper bars) to check whether the machine works properly.

4.1.2 Run the machine at lowest speed and open the guarding doors in turn to check the

sensitivity of each limit switch. The machine should stop if any one of the doors open. If not,

stop the machine and cut off the power and replace the limit switch.

4.1.3 Distinguish the sound of both normal and abnormal when running. Check whether each

part works properly. If has any problem, stop the machine immediately and check.

4.1.4 Do not touch the vacuum pump, it is very hot.

4.1.5 To avoid from the injury by running parts, do not put the hand in the feeder.

4.1.6 Machine turning only can be done after the flywheel stops completely.

4.1.7 Do not pull out the papers which are clamping by the gripper bar.

4.1.8 Stop the machine when make the die preparation or add oil.

4.1.9 To avoid from the stop of movable base caused by too high pressure, stop the machine

when the movable base is in the lowest position which means the gripper bar stops in the

middle of flexible bed and fixed bed.

4.1.10 Stop the machine immediately by pressing the emergency stop (RED) button or open the

guarding door when mal-function.

4.2 Daily Check4.2.1 Clean the photoelectric sensor and the surface of fiber every day.

4.2.2 Check whether the sensor can work properly by moving paper between sensors. It works

well if red light is on or closed.

4.2.3 Oil pressure checking (normal: 3~10kg/cm2).

4.2.4 Check the main air pressure which controls air clutch (normal: 5~6 kg/cm2).

4.2.5 Check the auxiliary air pressure which controls cutting die and delivery unit (normal: 4~6

kg/cm2).

- 31 -

in safety of machine electrical equipment chapter 1:

General Requirement, Necessary Measures executed, to avoid any electrical

dangers!

7.2.1 Convenience and security in machine operation

7.2.1.1 Normally this machine should be operated by more than one operator due to its big

dimension.

To ensure safety, this machine consists of 5 basic operating positions: feeding unit, main body

(including human-machine interface display to observe machine running status), stripping unit

and delivery unit.

These 5 stations can facilitate operator flexible operating and observe clealy the running status for

every part of whole machine. And 6 emergency stop buttons are installed respectively on feeding

unit, main body, stripping unit at operation side, delivery side, delivery unit and stripping unit at

drive side, so the machine can be shut off conveniently and quickly in case of any abnormal and

emergent circumstances.

7.2.1.2 Security design of machine start conditions:

The picture appearing on display screen (human-machine interface display screen) shows last

status of machine stop, If last status of machine stop is abnormal, then following operations only

can be done when the reset button must be pressed first. If the main motor is running, the main

body clutch only can be started when main motor is at lowest speed to ensure enough preparation

to start the machine. And there is 5 seconds alarm from hooster every time when the machine start

button is pressed, and the machine will run only when pressing button one more again.

Delivery functions:

Delivery by hand: When the selection switch on delivery operation panel is turned to

left, the

Operation of delivery main table, delivery auxiliary table and delivery belt must be executed by

operator via open/close switch on operation panel.

Automatic delivery: When the selection switch SA3 is turned to right, delivery is in automatic

state. When the value of delivery table reaches the setting value during main body running,

delivery table descends automatically to lowest position, at the same time, the delivery auxiliary

table stretches out automatically, and delivery conveyor belt starts to transport products on

delivery table to delivery place. And then the delivery table ascends automatically to paper

receiving place.

Attention automatic delivery operation should meet: delivery main table need move up to the

position where is the highest position of sensor detection. When papers are re-received, the

delivery auxiliary table must be receiving (stretching out) state.

Sensor detection for automaic delivery:

1 ) Delivery pile height sensor AB3: delivery table descends automatically and the sensor

begins to receive signals, when the sensor detects sheet surface, sensor begins to count sheets,

when it counts up to setting value, if the delivery auxiliary table is in sheet-receiving (stretches

out) state, it will return to sheet dropping (drawing back) state. If delivery auxiliary table is in

sheet dropping (drawing back) state, delivery main table will descend automatically.

2 ) Sensor AB4 allowing delivery auxiliary table to stretch out : during quantitative

delivery, when quantity set is finished and delivery main table descends automatically, the

sensor will detect whether top of pile on delivery main table deviates or not the stretching out

path of delivery auxiliary table. If sensor AB4 detects pile top has deviated path, the delivery

auxiliary table will stretch out automatically. When delivery auxiliary table draws back, pile top

on delivery main table moves up to this position and can’t move up more.

3 ) When delivery auxiliary table receives sheets, pile top on delivery main table moves up

to highest position sensor AB5: When delivery auxiliary table stretches out, pile top on

delivery main table moves up to this position and can’t move up more.

4 ) Piles leave delivery main table sensor AB6: When quantitative delivery is finished and

delivery main table descends automatically to the lowest position, delivery belt starts to

transport piles. After this sensor detects that piles have left delivery main table, delivery main

table ascends automatically to the highest position.

Operation Manual JY-1650 \ JY-1650E Operation Manual JY-1650 \ JY-1650E

In principle, once alarm occurs the picture will turn to picture corresponding to alarm.

7.5.1 Intermittent mechanism alarm

Alarm reason: It is because the intermittent mechanism clutch disengaged due to the overload of

imposed on intermittent meachanism or overspeed of machine, and the torque force limit switch

AC3 inside intermittent mechanism is actuated to cause electrical protection action, which lead to

the alarm.

Removal method: Turn machine manually (reverse turning) to make intermittent mechanism

clutch engage, after the failure is reset press blue color general reset button SB00 in main

operation panel to reset electrical control parts.

Measures : Reduce mechanical load and machine speed, check whether there is loose

phenomena existing in intermittent box.

7.5.2 Gripper bar wrong position alarm

Reason: Intermittent mechanism was overloaded; machine speed was too high;main chain loose

due to long time stretching; main body air clutch pressure was too high, and sensor AB15 was

adjusted wrong or sensor was broken to cause electrical protection because gripeer bar was not

detected at position where the electrical controling system detects.

Removal method: Press blue color reset button AB00 on main operation panel to reset the alarm,

turn machine in inch mode and check mechanical parts one by one corresponding to the failures

and remove them. For electrical control parts, signals from sensor AB15 must be ensured to

- 72 -

Page 73: Nikko 1650

Operation Manual JY-1650 \ JY-1650E Operation Manual JY-1650 \ JY-1650E

correctly match signals from electric cam angle (output #8). Normally when machine is running

into the setting range (534-538) of electric cam angle #8, the gripper bar should pass by sensor

AB15.

Mreasures taken : Reduce mechanical load and machine speed; tighten the loose main chain;

adjust main body air clutch pressure to be suitable; adjust or replace sensor AB15.

7.5.3 PLC battery alarm

This alarm is alarm inside main electrical controller and must be prior settled.

Reason: Normally the inner battery usage life of PLC is 3~5 years, exceeding this period there

may be alarm.

Removal metho: Change battery. Please note that change the battery with electricity. replacement

should be made by professional electrical personnel with battery of same specifications.

7.5.4 Main inverter alarm

Reason: Unstable current and voltage;

- 73 -

Page 74: Nikko 1650

Operation Manual JY-1650 \ JY-1650E Operation Manual JY-1650 \ JY-1650E

wrong parameter setting; mechanical overload; main motor failure, etc. sometimes there will be

an alarm after electricity is cut off and immediately switched on, so switch on electricity after it is

cut off for 20 seconds.

Removal method: improve the quality of current and voltage; check and modify parameter

setting, especially set appropriate time paramenter of ascending and descending speed;

mechanical draging must be smooth;main motor winding coil three phase must be balanceable.

When this alarm occurs, it must be handled with purpose by professional servicing personnel

according to inverter alarm code descriped in inverter instruction manual so as not to enlarge

the failure!

7.5.5 Emergency stop relay KA00 of safety citcuit alarm

Reason: Generally this alrm will not occur because emergency stop button alarm will be prior to

occur. But if no emergency stop button alarm and left picture can not be cancelled by pressing

general reset button, the circuit 01~07 between buttons must have problem. it must be handled by

professional repairing personnel to check and test every segment on connecting wires for

emergency stop button, otherwise safety relay KA00 can not be reset.

7.5.6 Safety circuit relay KA01 alarm

Generally this alrm picture will not appear, because safety door alarm has priority. But if no safety

door aexisting, there must be problem in the safety circuit 01~08 between buttons. It must be

handled by professional repairing personnel to check and test every segment on connecting wires

for safety door limit, otherwise safety relay KA01 can not be reset.

motor, delivery conveyor belt moto.

Drive side auxiliary motors alarms: including overload alarms from feeding right side baffle

motor, front baffle motor, feeding pump motor, oil pump motor, stripping frame up and down

moving motor, delivery auxiliary table motor and delivery main table motor

Reason: Normally it is because the mechanical parts load is too big or mechanical parts stop

working, and maybe it is caused due to improper adjustment and stabilization of breaker current

with protection or motors has internal problem.

The breaker must be re-started after being checked correctly! Improper restart of breaker

may cause damages to motor!

Drive side auxiliary motor overload alarm

Page 76: Nikko 1650

Operation Manual JY-1650 \ JY-1650E Operation Manual JY-1650 \ JY-1650E

Reason: This alarm occurs after main motor and oil pump motor are started and oil pressure is

less than 4 kgs so as to cause the action of relay SQ17. Other possible reasons including without

or short of oil inside main body, oil pipe broken or oil pipe jammed, the failure of oil pump motor

and failure oil pressure inspection relay SQ17.

Measures: Before each shift the operator must check oil gauge mounted on main bodyto know

how much oil in main body, and often clean the filter net of oil intake to keep oil pipe smooth, and

change all lubricating oil in timeaccording to requirements. Attention do not inspect relay SQ17

by shortly connecting oil pressure!

7.5.9 Air pressure alarm: display is as below

Reason: This alarm is the result from action of air pressure relay SQ16 when it detects air

pressure is less than 2kgs after main motor is starte, other possible reasons including main air

intakewithout air or air pressure not enoug, improper adjustment of pressure adjusting valve, air

pipe leakage.

diecutting paper out position detects that there is paper or other obstacle, and then paper runs over

alarm happens. If the paper is fed earlier or delivered later, gripper bar cannot grip the paper in

rated position, and then the alarm will happen. For proper paper feeding, air suction must be

adjusted well and the feeding press wheels should match with each other when working.

7.5.11. Front lay alarm

Reason: In rated angle (when the

gripper pin is going to grip the paper), front lay sensor AB12 、 AB13 cannot detec there are

paper which arrives at , then there will be a front lay alarm. If paper arrives at the detecting

position earlier or later, gripper bar cannot grip the paper in thee rated angle, this alarm will also
