Delivery: We will offer delivery within 200 km of home, after that at cost. Delivery will commence April 1, 2017 unless prior arrangements have been made with the seller.

Wintering: Anyone not wanting to take their bulls after the sale can make ar-rangements with the breeder to keep the bulls at a cost of $4.00 per day after April 1, 2017. ALL BULLS RETURNING TO THE BREEDER MUST BE INSURED. The bulls will be housed at the buyer’s risk. The breeders will not be responsible for any type of injury while the bulls are in their care.

Semen Test: All bulls will be semen tested before sale day.

Welcome to the Rack Red Angus/MCG Simmental 10th Annual 2017 Bull Sale! Wow it is hard to believe it has been 10 years since the dispersal of the Meadow Creek Red Angus herd and our new beginning of Rack Red Angus in 2007.

Our success could not be more heart felt and we would like to thank everyone who has shown their support in our program. We take pride in the fact that most of our customers are repeat buyers and your confidence in our program is greatly appreciated.

All of the bulls in this offering have been fed at home. The bulls are fed twice a day morning and night. We feed a corn pellet ration and free choice grass hay to achieve a 3.5lb/day average. We strive to grow bulls out for longevity so your purchases will last.

With record high prices seen at the bull sales in the past couple of years, many producers opted to keep that older bull for just one more season. Now that extra year has come and gone and its time to replace that older bull. Please remember that just because the market is down, we still need to keep the quality of our bull battery strong and that bulls are half of the genetics of each and every calf that hits the ground. Strong and healthy calves in the fall are what makes all of us money.

New this year we have selected 21 very fancy Rack Red Angus home raised open yearling heifers that will be sold in packages at the end of the Bull Sale. These heifers represent our herd and breeding program and we are pleased to offer them to you.

We will offer a discount of $100 again this year for all bulls taken home sale day, and any bulls returning to the ranch after the sale must be insured! We will keep the bulls until March 31st and delivery will start the 1st week of April. Any bulls left at the ranch after April 1st will be charged $4.00/day for feeding.

We will also like to thank Rob and Sharon and all the staff at Foothills Auctioneers Inc. for all they do to make our sale a success! Also to Justin Pittman for clipping and sale preparation of the bulls. A big thank you to all our friends and neighbors who have helped us the past months while I’ve been laid up with an injury.

BUCC 324Y was a bull calf that Brent Carey found for us in 2012 at Six Mile. When I asked Brent about the bull his response was that he is a wide topped, thick boned power house that he thought would do us a lot of good. 324Y has done just that with the exception he is throwing much lighter BW averaging in the mid 80s. We have now reached a milestone together with Foothills Auctioneers in Stavely as our 10th year of selling our bulls at Rob & Sharon Bergevin’s Auction Market. We used Odin as an AI sire on heifers. We used him to try and get our black numbers up. He is a Homo Polled and Homo Black bull. The calving ease was great. We did not touch one heifer at calving time. They all calved on their own and were great mothers.
