We wanted to show our main character washing off blood to create enigma and suspense

Also, to make the audience question who and why she killed someone.

• This creates a brainteaser for the audience as they search their minds to figure this out.

• Which is a basic convention for the crime thriller

• This would build tension which fits into our genre

Our enigmas are suitable for our audience, because:• It fits our crime thriller genre- audience expectation of mystery and suspense.• It allows the audience to think of resolutions to enigmas such as: why is she throwing it into

the canal?• The blood on her face makes the audience think and try to solve the puzzle.
