AS Media Evaluation / Preliminary Task
Cecily Powell
How well did you plan your production and what methods did you use?•Each member of the group had different
ideas on what our production should be. We spilled our ideas onto a piece of paper and a lot of the ideas we had were similar to each other. Deciding to clash some of the ideas together we put together a storyline and made sure the final production was something that we were able to film and edit as well as exceeding the ideas that we had.
What influenced our choice of theme?•After looking at a few examples, our group
talked about themes that we could make a production about. Being in a group that was aged 16-18 we decided that our knowledge on the lives of teenagers was something we knew a lot about. We not only wanted to put personal experiences into the production but experiences many teenagers also face. We wanted to produce a piece that showed off our creativity but also that demonstrated real life situations.
Was this an effective method? •I believe it was an effective method
because the group members contributions helped to form the overall production. This was also effective as the group worked well together in gathering all the ideas, as well as reducing arguments between one another as we respected everyone's contributions.
How well did your product meet the original proposal?•Our ideas expanded into a production that
wouldn’t have fitted the time frame we were given. After a discussion we chose a section from our production to be our main focus, and fitted ideas together that would fit the time we had. We kept the original idea but trimmed it down to focus on one main sector.
