Art Collection
This is the 20th anniversary edition of the MDA Art Collection calendar. The Collection shines a light on creative works by artists with muscular dystrophy, ALS and other diseases that limit strength and mobility. MDA is fighting to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the harmful effects of muscle-debilitating diseases so they can live longer and grow stronger.
The vibrant paintings, photographs and mixed media in these pages were selected from the permanent Collection, which was established in 1992 and comprises 400 works by artists ages 2 to 84 in all 50 states. These astonishing artworks have been exhibited at galleries and museums across the country, spreading a powerful message that creativity cannot be limited by disability.
For more information on the MDA Art Collection, email [email protected] or visit mda.org/artcollection today.

2017 Calendar
The freedom to walk, to talk, to run and play. To laugh, to hug. To eat. To breathe.
Each day across the country, these everyday freedoms are being taken away from kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases that severely weaken muscle strength and mobility.
MDA fights to give individuals — and the families who love them — strength, independence and life to help them live longer and grow stronger.
To do this, we:
• Cure: Find research breakthroughs across diseases to accelerate treatments and cures
• Care: Care for kids and adults from day one
• Champion: Empower families with services and support in hometowns across America
Together with our supporters, MDA is fighting to make today free from the harm of muscle-debilitating diseases and tomorrow free from the diseases themselves.
Learn how you can fund cures, find care and champion the cause at mda.org.
