“Voice of the Customer” - Mitchell’s Club

• Buffet provides the desired speed of service; however, variety, consistency, and quality

must improve.

Solution: New Themed Menu incorporating the ‘Charleston Market’ will provide a

wider variety of quality food items for the weekly buffet line.

• Customers are dissatisfied with consistency of the food preparation and quality.

Solution: Training implemented for both the waitress and kitchen staff, to improve

food preparation and quality consistency for customers.

• The ambiance and décor has a negative value perception with customers.

Solution: Simple changes pertaining to sound, light and seating arrangement have

been implemented.

Specialty Nights • Customers want specialty night events on a regular

basis, customers want variety.

Solution: Specialty Night Concept starting

Mid-July 2015, after the Mitchell’s Grand Re-

Opening, to address customer’s desire for

variety and change.

CRC Lodging

What we’ve done so far…

• CRC room inventory reduced from 42-26 rooms April 2014

• Ended 3rd shift Feb 2015

Facts

• CRC Lodging annex opened 2010 to support CSP increase (tour normalization);

Area 1 Military Command Sponsorship ended 2014

• Lodging is an independent, self-supporting activity; all income must offset labor

and operational expenses to run quality on-post hotel activities

• Lodging validation requires a 75-80% annual occupancy rate to remain solvent

• YTD FY15 occupancy = 61% - this is not likely to increase substantially

• Those TDY on valid orders have bypassed lodging in favor of unit barracks

Further action? Remove remaining 26 rooms from inventory will

increase annual occupancy rate to required

percentages

Area I Command Information Exchange

1. Early Bird hours at Commissary: would be beneficial for families to get

items when the children are dropped off at school.

2. Fitness Centers: allowing children in them under supervision versus

actively participating or creating a family space for children to be in the

room while parent is working out.

3. CRC to Casey Bus: Would like to know if it is possible to change the time

that the bus leaves CRC 1620 to a approximately 1645; right now people

riding the Yongsan bus arrive after the 1620 bus leaves and they have to

wait about 1 hour for the 1720 bus.

Early Bird hours at Commissary: it would be beneficial for

families to get items when the children are dropped off at school.

Solution:

• DeCA has submitted a proposal to open Commissary Doors

at 0900 for Camp Red Cloud and Camp Casey only.

• Camp Stanley does not have the budget or manpower to

support “Early Bird” hours.

Fitness Centers: can you allow children fitness centers under supervision

versus actively participating or creating a family space for children to be in

the room while parent is working out.

Solutions:

• All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a reasonable,

responsible, and prudent manner in accordance with facility rules and

regulations. Youth may use adult indoor physical fitness centers only under

the following provisions (AR 215-1): – Soldier programs must not be displaced.

– Children 12 years old and under may not use mechanical cardiovascular equipment, or strength,

sauna, or steam rooms or Jacuzzi areas at any time.

– As a Family member, children and youth (15 years old and under), not otherwise prohibited in

paragraph 8-20d(2), must be actively participating in the same activity and under the direct

supervision of a parent or guardian.

– Youth must be a participant in a special program, organized and conducted by CYSS, schools,

or other authorized youth organizations.

• All fitness facilities are undersized for our population. We cannot repurpose

rooms for child care spaces. CDC currently provides hourly care childcare.

CRC to Casey Bus: Is possible to change the time that the

bus leaves CRC 1620 to a approximately 1645? People

riding the Yongsan bus arrive after the 1620 bus leaves

and they have to wait about 1 hour for the 1720 bus.

Answer:

•This change is possible. But buses are under contract and

will require renegotiation. This might not result in additional

bus, but a change in bus stop times. We will provide

update at the next CIE (or sooner)

•Public transportation available 24/7 between CRC and
