JOHNSON WAX BUILDING. 02 02 arc341 Design Communication Software: Rhinoceros 3dm, 3ds Max 2010, Adobe Illustrator cs4, Adobe Photoshop cs4 Racine, Wisconsin. Frank Lloyd Wright The Johnson Wax Headquarters was studied through digital media to explore & include diagramming studies, series of system renderings, animations, a complete 3d model, and finally a digitally fabricated conceptualization of the contruction process. The animation presented the order of spaces created by the dendriform columns, “lily pads,” while the fabrication conceptualized the reinterpretation of the lily pad. The case study was served as a tool to explore & communicate in multiple digital dimensions. Diagramming & 3d rendering For parts of the digital media project i collaborated with samuel paz. the poon_paz collaborative team combined to work on both the diagramming and physical model.
