March 3, 2016 April 7, 2016 CHS Presents The Musical Comedy The Addams Family Centennial High School’s Performing Arts Department presents the musical The Addams Family, based on the iconic TV show and characters originally created by Charles Addams. The dark musical comedy is a song- and dance-filled stage adaptation of the original characters created by Addams. The show opens April 28th and runs through May 7th. The Addams Family features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before — keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Come meet the family. We'll leave the lights off for you. For Centennial High School’s production, Kellie McCarty directs, Sharon V. Miller choreographs, Rebecca Chelson is vocal director, with Emily Aleman, Technical Director and Kathy Morgan, Costumer. The cast is led by: senior Zachary Alleger as Gomez Addams; senior Cami Kaylor as Morticia Addams; sophomore Emily Brady as Wednesday Addams; senior Roshan Bozorgnia as Uncle Fester; senior Miranda Rettinger as Grandma; and freshman Joseph Kaylor as Pugsley. Also featured are senior William McCracken as Lurch; seniors Natalie Hurley and Antonio Lucero as Alice and Mal Beineke; freshman Christopher Mendez as Lucas Beineke, and a talented ancestor ensemble.
