EASTER SUNDAY ~ “A L L E L U I A” – the “Easter Song” is sung out repeatedly in our Easter liturgies today. This is the first time we have heard these words for the last ‘40’ days. Today Jesus truly becomes ‘the Christ’ – the anointed one. He enters into his glory resurrected and transformed. As God raises him from death and into glory he also gave to us the pattern of our

own immortal destiny. We too share in the glory of the Lord and are given life eternal. We rejoice also with our newly baptized and those who have received Confirmation and Eucharist for the first time. We rejoice with those who have received the gifts of the Holy Spirit – powerful and enabling gifts. There really is no time like Easter. This is the time of Redemption. This is the time of promises made and promises kept. God’s Covenant with us is fully revealed in the death and resurrection of his Son. If he had not been raised his death would be in vain. Because he has been raised, we are irrevocably changed and promised life eternal. For that reason alone we joyfully sing our Easter Song: “A L L E L U I A”

+ PARISH FINANCES + {Together in Mission … 10 Month Pledge Program}

At the time of the printing of this bulletin, our total pledges to date for Together in Mission 2018 had just reached 2/3 of our parish goal of $34,650 -- in dollars that equals $21,389. The amazing and most interesting number is the number of pledges that make up that total. As of

now there have been 116 pledges. Imagine if we doubled that to 232 pledges. Imagine also if the total pledges in dollars was doubled to equal $42,778. Then, having gone over our goal by $8,128 the excess would return to the parish to assist us in our many projects we hope to accomplish before we celebrate our 100th Anniversary in just six short years from now. The single highest pledge is $1,000. The lowest is a single payment of $5. The rest is scattered all over the board with a few standouts: four gave in the $700 range; five gave in the $500 range; twenty-one gave in the $200-$400 range; the most popular pledge was $100 given by forty-six parishioners. Many people paid off their pledge all at once; may will spread it over 10 months (e.g. $10 per month). Once again this shows what we can do when we pull together, work together, build together. Thank you for your wonderful and ever faithful support!

DOMINGO DE PASCUA — "ALELUYA" - El "Canto de Pascua" se canta repetidamente en nuestras liturgias de Pascua hoy. Esta es la primera vez que escuchamos estas palabras en los últimos ‘40’ días. Hoy Jesús realmente se convierte en 'el Cristo' — el ungido. Entra en su gloria resucitado y transformado. Al levantarlo Dios de la muerte hacia su gloria también nos da la pauta

de nuestro propio destino inmortal. Nosotros también participamos de la gloria del Señor y se nos da la vida eterna. Nos regocijamos también con nuestros recién bautizados y los que han recibido la Confirmación y la Eucaristía por primera vez. Nos regocijamos con los que reciben los dones del Espíritu Santo - potentes y eficientes regalos. Realmente no hay otro tiempo como la Pascua. Este es el tiempo de la Redención. Este es el tiempo de las promesas hechas y promesas cumplidas. El Pacto de Dios con nosotros se revela plenamente en la muerte y resurrección de su Hijo. Si Él no hubiera resucitado, su muerte hubiera sido en vano. Por su resurrección, hemos sido irrevocablemente cambiados y se nos ha prometido la vida eterna. Por esa única razón cantamos alegremente nuesto Canto de Pascua: “ALELUYA”!!!

{Unidos en Misión ... Programa de Compromiso de 10 meses}

Al momento de la transmisión de este boletín, el total de nuestras promesas para Unidos en Misión 2018 llegaba a 2/3 de nuestra meta parroquial de $34,650, en dólares equivalentes a $21,389. Lo asombroso e interesante es el número de promesas

que componen ese total. Hasta la fecha se han hecho 116 promesas. Imagine si las duplicamos a 232. Imagine también si el total de las promesas en dólares se duplicara para igualar a $42,778. Luego, habiendo superado nuestra meta por $8,128, el exceso volvería a la parroquia para ayudarnos en nuestros muchos proyectos que esperamos lograr antes de celebrar nuestro centésimo aniversario en tan solo seis cortos años a partir de hoy. La promesa más alta fue de $1,000. La más baja fue un pago único de $5. El resto está disperso en todos los ámbitos con algunas promesas que descatan: cuatro dieron alrededor de $700; cinco dieron alrededor de $500; veintiuno entre los $200- $400; la promesa más popular fue $100 otorgada por cuarenta y seis feligreses. Muchas personas pagaron su promesa de una vez; o puede extenderlo durante 10 meses (por ejemplo, $10 por mes). Una vez más, esto muestra lo que podemos hacer cuando trabajamos juntos, construimos juntos. ¡Gracias por su maravilloso y siempre fiel apoyo!
