LETTER FROM THE CULTIVATOR +++ ++ Why Cultivator? ++ Hello Friends, Over the past month I have put a large amount of my time into coming up with a more elaborate and adequate method of communications for Organic Faith. I guess you could say that I was trying to put more of an infrastructure in order: new website, newsletters, bank account, vision, finding leaders for new aspects of Organic, and even creating business cards. I worked with a friend on some creative possibilities but when Tim asked me what I wanted my title to be on the card, I had to take along time to really think about my answer. Am I the pastor of Organic Faith? The mission developer? The visionary? The convener? Who am I? After much debate and help from Tim, I finally settled on the word Cultivator. Here is why: not only does the word cultivate really tie in well with the earthy and organic theme that this community has already settled on, but it also really works well with the overall philosophy of Organic Faith thus far. Dictionary.com tells me that a cultivator is an instrument that is used to destroy weeds and churn the soil around growing plants. As Organic Faith continues to grow and become whatever it is that God has in store for us we all need to remember that we still have some weeds to work around. But it is also important to keep in mind that we are all already growing plants. This Organic Faith community is coming together to grow in our faith, as the cultivator I am doing what I can to provide places and events where the soil is in good shape and where we can all work together and remove some of the weeds in our life. As the Cultivator I work for that! The plants are what is important, not the tools that help you get to the flourishing garden. If you have ideas for things you would like to see, if you have spiritual needs that are not being met, if you just need a pastoral presence please do not hesitate to ask. LETTER FROM THE CULTIVATOR +++++ Why Cultivator? ++Hello Friends,

Over the past month I have put a large amount of my time into coming up with a more elaborate and adequate method of communications for Organic Faith. Dictionary.com tells me that a cultivator is an instrument

that is used to destroy weeds and churn the soil around growing plants. A community searching, exploring, and learning together what it means to be disciples of Jesus while embracing the mystery and grace of God.

+ COMING SOON + The new Organic Faith website is almost finished and ready for launch. This will be a new, sleeker, website with information about Organic Faith as well as up to date calendars and announcements from and for the Organic Faith community.

+ WHAT IS ORGANIC FAITH? + Organic Faith is setting out to be Church in the 21st century. It is a community that wants to meet people where they are, creating a faith community based not on what someone else thinks it should be but based on the needs of the community. It all happens organically, so faith can grow through the Holy Spirit and not through outlines and models.
