Supplies NeededOESD Appliqué Greetings collection #12615OESD Lightweight Tear Away StabilizerOESD StabilStick StabilizerOESD Curved Machine Embroidery Scissors (for trimming jump stitches)OESD Razor Edge Fabric Shears (for cutting out appliqué pieces)Isacord threadOESD Bobbin threadAppliqué fabrics – see patterns for sizesPre-cut Cardstock – 4.5" by 6.5" Pre-made card and coordinating envelope – 5" x 7"505 Temporary Adhesive SprayPermanent Glue Stick
Instructions• Prepare appliqué fabrics by sticking a piece of
OESD StabilStick Tear Away to the back of the appliqué fabric. This will make the fabric easier to cut and manipulate. SEE PHOTOS 01-03.
• Use the included patterns to cut out all appliqué pieces before beginning embroidery. SEE PHOTO 04.
• Hoop a single layer of OESD Lightweight Tear Away stabilizer. SEE PHOTO 05.
• Stitchthefirstcolorchangeof thedesign,whichwill be a placement stitch. SEE PHOTO 06.
• Spray the hooped stabilizer with temporary adhesivespray.Affixthe4.5"x6.5"cardstockto the stabilizer within the placement line. SEE PHOTO 07.
• Following the thread chart, stitch the next color change, which will be an appliqué placement line. This should be stitched in the same color thread as the cover stitch for the appliqué. SEE PHOTO 08.
• Lightly spray the back of the appropriate appliqué piecesandaffixthemtothecardstockwithintheplacement lines. SEE PHOTO 09.
• Stitch the next color change, which will be the cover stitch for the placed appliqué pieces. SEE PHOTO 10.
• Repeat steps 6-8 for all appliqué pieces in the project. SEE PHOTO 11.
• Stitch any additional color changes as indicated by the thread chart. SEE PHOTO 12.

InstructionsAppliqué Greetings
• When design is complete, remove the project from the hoop and gently tear away the excess OESD Lightweight Tear-Away stabilizer. SEE PHOTO 13.
• Using a permanent glue stick, apply glue to the back of the embroidered 4.5" x 6.5" cardstock. SEE PHOTO 14.
• Apply the 4.5" x 6.5" cardstock to the front center of the pre-made 5" x 7" card and smooth into place. SEE PHOTO 15.
