miss his/her bus or train

I want to make a app that makes it more

convenient to travel in NYC.

Ideas From Ideation Session



Unmet need:

• Buying tickets for the LIRR and refilling metro cards is inconvenient and time consuming

Who is the app for:

• NYC commuters

• Anyone using the LIRR



How the app would work:

• Users will create a account where they will be able to buy LIRR tickets and refill their metro cards

• To refill the card they will scan a QR code on the metro card that will scan the cards information and allow them to add money to it


Research On Smartphone Apps



Nice go mobile: Is a Traveling App for long

island buses. It allows users to buy bus

tickets as well view schedules. Its a very

simple app and I like the way its designed

however it is only for long island buses



Transit: Is a scheduling App that tells users

what buses are near by and how long till

they he/she will have to wait for the next

bus. It does not give a option of buying

tickets or adding money to metro cards



Buses: Is a bus tracker its useful because it tells the users exactly where the bus is located and how many stops it is away from him/her. How ever it doesn’t show the user the bus schedule or allow them to buy tickets or add money to metro cards. It is also very ugly
