We are pleased and honoured to present the fourth edition of the “Lido di Roma Basketball

Tournament”

Who may participate?

The IN.TO. Tournament is for male and

female teams of:

Under 15 Male (born in

1999);


2000);


2001, 2002);

Under 17 Female (born in

1997, 1998 and 1999).

When and where will it take

place?

The Tournament will take place in Ostia (a

sea resort on the Roman coast) from 2 to 5 January 2015

The IN.TO. Rome, International Basketball Tournament is organized by the “Lido di Roma

Basketball Club according to F.I.B.A. and F.I.P. (Italian Basketball Association).

This year, thanks to the assistance and collaboration of the web

site “Scouting Center.Net”, (www.scoutingcenter.net), we will

have greater visibility at both the national and international

level. We will provide and post each and all the game statistics

on-line, thanks to the assistance of the official software “FIBA

LIVE SUITE”.

Tournament Formula:

The Tournament foresees the participation of a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 16 male

teams and a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 8 female teams. All games will be played with

full respect given to the official “Federal Basketball Rules” and all games will be refereed with

official referees. Each team will play four games.

· Thursday, 2 January - one game (the first games will be played by local

teams). Following games will be played by guest teams, depending on how far they

come from to allow them to recover from an eventual journey;

· Friday, 3 January - one game;

· Saturday, 4 January - one game;

· Sunday, 5 January - finals (awards ceremony and prize giving will take place at 14:00

hrs. at Piazza Regina Pacis, Ostia, Rome;

Accommodation:

The teams will be put-up/hosted in various hotels with our special discounted rates (who

take part in the “Mare di Roma” Project). Teams and respective staff may choose to stay in 3

or 4 star hotels.

Accompanying Family Members:

Family members accompanying the teams, will be provided with special discounted

rates. For further information, please contact us.

Rome and the myth of the Eternal City:

The Tournament team players and staff will also be able to

participate in an organized tour of the antique Roman city of

Ostia Antica, one of the most famous Roman cities of the

world. Ostia is a suburb of Rome and is only 30 minutes away

from the centre of Rome. Public transport is readily available by train and metro line service

and can take you into the centre, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi or a

much-requested shopping tour on the world-famous Via del Corso! It is also possible to take

public transport to St. Peter’s Basilica

Full Team Cost:

The payment for each team player is 120,00 euro and includes the following:

a) Enrolment to InTo Rome;

b) Hotel booking in double/triple/quadruple rooms (depending on availability at time of

booking);

c) 8 meals included, (beginning from dinner on 2 January to breakfast on 5 January).

Please note that lunch on 5 January is NOT included, however, our “discounted”

restaurants would be happy to host you at discounted rates of 12,00 euro for a full

meal;

d) Medical assistance;

e) Sightseeing in Rome and Ostia, including the Ostia Antica historical sights;

f) Gadgets;

The cost for staff (coach or assistant) accompanying the team

is 150,00 euro, however, if the team is composed of at least 12

players, we will host the two staff members free of charge

Standard team costs:

The payment for each team is 150,00 euro and includes the following:

a) Enrolment to InTo Rome;

b) Medical assistance;

c) Gadgets

It is possible to book meals for team players and staff at our “discounted” restaurants at a

cost of 12,00 euro per meal. It is essential that these requests are received by us no later

than the 22nd of December 2013.
