American McGee's Alice: The Unofficial Novel (Chapter One)

Pretty much exactly what it says on the tin: a fan-made novel following the plot of American McGee’s Alice. But here’s a proper summary, in case you got here by searching Alice in Wonderland: Ten years have passed since Alice first fell down the Rabbit hole, and her life is anything but wondrous. Her family is dead, her home is gone, and her Wonderland is nearly forgotten. A failed suicide attempt lands her in Rutledge Asylum for Lunatics, where she begins to have bizarre visions of her long-forsaken dreamland, with its inhabitants imploring her to return and end the tyrannical reign of the Queen of Hearts, and she soon discovers that there is far more at stake than she could have possibly anticipated.Okay, so I did some poking around on Wikipedia and apparently those silly disclaimers that twelve year olds put on their fanfics are actually somewhat legit. So yeah, if you happen to be Electronic Arts, please be aware that I’m not making any money off of this, nor is it meant to be a substitute for the actual game, but if you really take issue with it, I’ll take it down.
