5/16 the familiar, harmonious ALPINA STYLEHigh torque and low emissions paired with dynamichandling and superior comfort the new BMW ALPINAD3 Bi-Turbo excels in all disciplines. The D3 Bi-Turbo Saloon accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hin just 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 276km/h. This makes the combined fuel consumption ofonly 5.3 l/ 100 km and 139 g /km CO 2 based on the ECEnorm all the more astonishing. With this automobile,ALPINA defines the benchmark for diesel performance, combining extraordinary power output and excellentefficiency with familiar ALPINA virtues appreciated byour customers worldwide.

The D3 Bi-Turbo Touring combines the power andefficiency of the Saloon with a high level of versatilityfor everyday and family use. Its large cruising range, generous power reserves and functional stowagespace make it a sporty, luxurious all-rounder optionally also available with all-wheel drive.Despite all this practicality, the D3 Bi-Turbo Touringwill accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 secondsand reach a top speed of 274 km/h. POWERHOUSEThe Bi-Turbo drivetrain draws on the excellentcharacteristics of the underlying BMW full aluminium,straight-six 3.0 liter capacity engine with the latestgeneration of common rail direct injection and two-stage

turbocharging. With the independence and freedom thatsmall series development and manufacturing provides,ALPINA engineers have further refined the potential of thisdrivetrain. The reduction of pressure losses through theoptimisation and de-throttling of air intakes and air filterhousings results in more power and better engine response.Combined with a corresponding adjustment of the boostand injection pressures this results in a maximum poweroutput of 257 kW (350 hp) at 4000 rpm and an impressive700 Nm of torque between 1500 rpm and 3000 rpm.A high-performance cooling system with a large-volumeintercooler and external water and oil coolers ensuresoptimum operating temperatures even under peak thermo-

dynamic loads. Sensitive sound application and a reducedsilencer volume means the D3 Bi-Turbos exhaust systememits a sporty soundtrack, especially at higher enginespeeds. The stainless steel system features two ellipticaltwin tailpipes bearing the ALPINA and Akrapovic logos.

The chassis and suspension set-up of the D3 Bi-Turboprovides great ride-quality and comfort while simulta-

neously offering sharp and dynamic handling. Theadaptive ALPINA sport suspension solves this conflictof interest by means of electronically adjustabledampers in collaboration with performance springs, bump stops and stabilisers. The system allows thedriver to use the Drive Performance Control (EcoPro, Comfort, Sport, Sport+) to select the suspensionsetting and driving dynamics to match his mood. The 19 or optional 20 ALPINA CLASSIC wheelswith performance MICHELIN Pilot Super Sport tyres,a strut brace and subtle adjustments to camber andtoe-in are responsible for the neutral and predictablehandling that is typical of BMW ALPINA automobiles.

The optional all-wheel drive system, which isavailable for the D3 Bi-Turbo Touring, exploits thetechnical potential of BMWs xDrive system and itsintelligent and dynamic distribution of drive power. It continuously and fully variably distributes torquebetween the front and rear axle within millisecondsfor maximum traction and control.

Your BMW ALPINA is part of an all-embracing recycling concept. Recycling demands are already considered early in the development process of a BMW ALPINA. An example of

this is in the selection of materials they are chosen, such that they are environmentally friendly and easily recyclable, using a minimum of resources to do so. Every BMW ALPINA

is built so that it is easily and cost-effectively recyclable at the end of its useable life span. All this occurs in close co-operation between BMW and ALPINA. BMW Group have built

a European-wide redemption and recycling infrastructure, and require high quality and environmental standards. For return of your automobile for the purposes of recycling, pleasecontact your BMW ALPINA partner. They are ready to help. For further information about recycling firms and redemption locations, please see
