Corrective Cold Phosphor Technology

At the centre of the optic are the blue LEDs, thewavelength of which is individually measured as theperformance of all LED chips vary. A tailored phosphorcoated film is then selected for each module to correct itto the required colour temperature and colour rendering.This guarantees the colour consistency to within2 SDCMs over the life of the module.

The phosphor coating is remote from the LED chips andruns at up to 60°C less than a standard white chip. Thisensures an unprecedented, less than 5% lightdepreciation over 50,000 hours.

An additional benefit of the cool phosphor temperatureis the ability to produce a ‘True Colour’ CRI 98 module,unmatched by any long life artificial light source.
