July 2015 – Current: Invoicing Clerk, Pharmacy Procurement Team, Luton and Dunstable University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust My responsibilities included:

Use of an account reconciliation system to ensure the prompt authorisation and recording of high value payments for stock received by the Pharmacy department.

Assisting the procurement team by liaising with external suppliers and the accounts departments to ensure consistent supply as well as adherence to the Trust’s SFOs.

The procurement and ordering of high cost drugs for the Pharmacy Aseptic division, ensuring maximum cost efficiency and the safe handling of patient medication.

Providing administrative and clerical support to all members of the department. In addition to my role, I adopted a number of other additional responsibilities in order to expand upon my professional experience and knowledge of the project management process:

As one the System Administrator I assisted in managing the installation and department wide rollout of the Q-PULSE v.5 electronic documentation, auditing and compliance system. This project involved me working to a strict timeline, teaching myself to use specialised software and helping to build and optimise it for pharmacy use. I also ensured its continued functionality and lead both individual and group training workshops to instruct others in its use.

Personal development

Nottingham Advantage Award: Whilst studying at university I also completed a number of extra-curricular modules as part of the Nottingham Advantage Award. These modules were designed to aid in the development of leadership and presentation skills in addition to improving ones preparedness for number of workplace scenarios.

Aegis Student Society: Involved in the administration of the student lead charitable society Aegis. Assisting in the organisation and management of a number of events intended to raise awareness regarding a number of global political issues. My responsibilities included sourcing guest speakers and venues, creating presentation material and liaising with university media Impact Magazine: Event coverage and review writing for Impact Student Magazine. Student Union Council: Volunteering As a member of the University of Nottingham Student Union’s first student council helping with the implementation of policies suggested the student community.

World Challenge: Personally fundraising approximately £3000 for a World Challenge expedition to China this assisted in the development of leadership, communication and financial management skills in a challenging environment. Bedfordshire Cranfield Business Challenge: Developing est my administrative and analytical abilities, presented with complex business scenarios requiring careful analysis and the evaluation of data.
