 ¡Buenos días!

Good day!

Leon is picking up the pace and

pretty significantly at that. It was a

pretty slow summer but things are

starting to happen; activities and

events are starting to appear on the

calendar!!

So here's what's been up and what's

coming up!

 Saying goodbye...

Bill (an ex-AIMer) and Leti, two

members of the León Sur

congregation have moved to Miami

(Bill's hometown) and they will soon

be getting married there.

Bill and I worked together in leading

small groups and he was my mentor

in that area.

It was sad to see them leave but I

know that God will accomplish His

will through them no matter where

they are.

VBS

We conducted a VBS for kids aged

between 4-13 called 'Viajeros del

Tiempo' which means 'Time

Travelers'. It was four days long

and we based it on the life of

Jesus; his birth, his early years, his

ministry and finally his death and

glorious resurrection.

Several youth from the León Sur

congregation helped as well as

couple of AIMers from Guadalajara

and Lalo Rocha, a missionary from

Mexico City who taught two of the

four lessons.

J'Lae, an ex-León AIMer from Texas, came down

to visit.

A play put on by a local school, where my co-ordinator's

children study.

Group photo with Lalo Rocha andhis family and the GDL AIMers.

We have been planning to hold a

VBS in a city called Lázaro

Cárdenas and the León VBS was a

pilot. As the pilot was a success by

God's grace, we are now going to

start planning for the one in

Lázaro. We plan... contd pg 2.

¡Muchas Gracias!

I thank and greatly appreciate

everyone of you that is

supporting me through my

adventures here in León; be it

financially, through prayers or

encouragement cards and

emails, they all count and are

appreciated!

Interesting Fact:

Fireworks are illegal here in

Mexico.

What the summer brings...

Well first incredible heat, some

rain and lots of activities.

A group from Alaska will be

making their annual trip down

here to León in August.

VBS

We have already been asked to

replicate the VBS that we're doing

at a new housing development

called Cañada. We have worked

there before conducting childrens'activities, planting trees etc.

Please pray that we may reach out

to the people of Cañada and the

surrounding areas through

activities such as these.

The last day of VBS: The kids and the assistants.

...to hold the one there around the 10 th of August. So please keep us in

your prayers as we continue to reach out to our communities in

different ways. It seems like its going to be a busy summer.

Study

I have been studying with two

guys here on different topics.

With Sergio, we have been going

through the gospel of John. He

has a lot of questions about what

faith is and we are studying about

that right now.

With Arturo, I have just begun

studying about the Holy Spirit and

we have formed kind of a support

group together with Nick my

teammate. Please keep both

Sergio and Arturo in your prayers.
