Students have 3 Core Classes – Advanced Biology, Freshman Literature, and Freshman Global Studies

Why the International Baccalaureate (IB) at BIHS?

Overview of IB Diploma Program in BIHS
Students begin participating in IB classes and requirements beginning in the 11th grade and continuing through the 12th grade.
All BIHS students participate in certain aspects of the IB Program. These include: IB English IB HistoryTOK, (Theory of Knowledge)CAS, (Creativity, Action and Service)The EE, Extended Essay
Students choose to take IB classes in other subject areas
BIHS students may opt to not take IB exams, take IB Exams for certificates in particular subject areas, or go for the IB Diploma.
