EN Cobra’s sinuous lines recall the shape of a snake. Histori-cally, the cobra is an attribute of the god Shiva, who is always depicted with a snake around his neck. The cobra represents dormant energy, which is the idea that inspired the design of this piece. The sculpture features a handcrafted wood structure composed of two symmetrical halves. These halves are sepa-rated by a plexiglass sheet that is illuminated with LED lights whose colour can be changed as desired. In dimly-lit settings, the piece creates a decidedly sensual, alluring and dramatic ef-fect. The Cobra table can be paired with Cobra chairs and cus-tomized with lacquer colours that suit the client’s needs.8 unique pieces + 4 artist’s proofs.

IT Cobra riprende le forme di un serpente per la sua sinuosità. Nella storia il cobra è considerato un attributo del dio Shiva il quale è sempre rappresentato con il serpente attorno al collo. Il cobra rappresenta l’energia dormiente ed è ciò che ha ispirato il design di questo pezzo. La scultura è caratterizzata da una struttura di legno lavorato a mano in due metà simmetriche separate da una lastra in plexiglas, che viene illuminata da leds colorabili a piacere: l’effetto scenico che crea negli ambienti con luce soffusa è decisamente sensuale e piacevole. EN Équilibre owes its name to the seeming instability of the sup-port structure – an enormous cone appears poised to cleave a small red disc that, in fact, supports the entire table, as well as the guests who lean on it. Immersed in black surroundings, this extremely strong element defi es all the laws of nature. A black mirrored surface rests upon the wood of the lower of the two superimposed planes. With its elegant lacquered moulding, it creates a common thread that encircles all of creation like a blade of fi re. The central lacquered steel structure is paired with a scratch-resistant glass-ceramic table top and a black Mar-quina marble base. These materials further enhance the work, which is one of the most sophisticated pieces in the collection.

IT Équilibre deve il suo nome all’effetto di apparente instabilità della struttura di sostegno: un enorme cuneo cerca di spaccare un piccolo disco rosso che in realtà da solo regge tutto il tavolo inclusi i commensali che vi si appoggiano. Un elemento di estrema forza che immerso nel nero sfi da ogni legge naturale. Dei due piani sovrapposti, quello ligneo inferiore, su cui appoggia la superfi cie nera a specchio, con la sua raffi nata modanatura laccata crea quasi un fi lo rosso che cinge come una lama di fuoco tutta la creazione.Acciaio laccato per la struttura centrale, vetro ceramico nero anti-graffi o per il piano di appoggio e marmo nero Marquina per il basamento. Questi materiali nobilitano ulteriormente l’opera che risulta tra le più raffi nate della collezione.

EN Aigle captures the shape of an eagle, portraying the giant bird’s wings, powerful hooked beak and talons. Naturally, styli-zation enables shapes characteristic of Cardin’s creations to be recalled. However, this time the profi le is free of these shapes, lending it a plasticity that abstractly creates a sense of fl ight. Many parts of the piece are sculpted directly from wood – these concave and curved parts cannot be produced even with mod-elling, a technique that is used for many other pieces in the collection. The rear of the piece has several drawers for use in a study. It also has a retractable shelf in the centre to hold a computer keyboard. Sockets suitable for a desktop computer, lamp, tablet charger or phone charger are concealed behind the eagle’s head. 8 unique pieces + 4 artist’s proofs.

IT Aigle mostra ali, becco e artigli del volatile gigante. Naturalmente la stilizzazione permette di richiamare le geometrie tipiche Cardiniane ma questa volta il profi lo è libero da queste geometrie e si concede una forma plastica che dona astrattamente l’idea del volo. Il pezzo presenta molte parti scolpite direttamente su legno; concavità e curve non sono realizzabili nemmeno tramite formature, caratteristica questa di molti altri pezzi della collezione. Nella parte posteriori vi sono vari cassetti adatti all’uso da studio nonché un piano estraibile al centro utile per collocare la tastiera di un computer. EN This small desk is an example of simplicity of form – two supports containing six convenient and practical drawers ta-per down to points at fl oor level, creating a sense of lightness. Despite the simple, geometric top and sides, the piece has a serene softness due to the front and back, which are hand-shaped to produce the characteristic convex form of the legs. The clean shape is easy to remember – it is one of the main-stays of Pierre Cardin’s poetic forms.Upon request, small changes can be made to the length and width of the top, which features a characteristic non-rectilinear shape.

IT Questo piccolo scrittoio è un esempio di semplicità formale: due sostegni rastremati fi no a zero verso terra che contengono 6 comodi e pratici cassetti. Leggero. Pur essendo semplice e geometrico nel piano e ai lati mantiene una composta morbidezza nei due prospetti che sono modellati a mano per determinare la caratteristica bombatura delle gambe. La forma molto depurata è facile a memorizzare: uno dei punti di forza della poetica formale di Pierre Cardin.A richiesta sono possibili piccole modifi che di larghezza e profondità del piano di appoggio che presenta un caratteristica forma non rettilinea.

EN Triangles is composed of two intersecting triangles that cre-ate a work surface on two different levels. This desk can be paired with the other piece in the Triangles line. In fact, as part of the same series, the two sculptures create a complete and simple yet elegant ensemble for the study.A piece with a striking visual impact, the two shapes support one another as in a solid embrace. For this particular work, Pierre Cardin uses either two complementary colours or two shades of the same colour.

EN The fi nal piece in the Cobra series, this table has an excep-tionally sinuous, asymmetrical shape. The central part of the support is particularly prominent, with a pronounced volume, and conceals a high-quality speaker that connects wirelessly to any compatible sound system. The wood used is dried red spruce, which is famous for having resonance characteristics that make it suitable for constructing violin soundboards. The opening that houses the speaker suspended in the interior also allows for aeration of the wood, thereby continuing the natural aging process.This table boasts a special feature – an illuminated sphere held in stable magnetic suspension. The system runs on batteries that require weekly charging.

IT Quest’opera è l’ultima della serie Cobra e presenta una fi gura particolarmente sinuosa e asimmetrica. La parte centrale del sostegno, è particolarmente pronunciata anche volumetricamente e dissimula un diffusore acustico di alta qualità collegabile in wireless ad una qualunque libreria sonora hardware compatibile. Il legno usato è l’Abete Rosso essiccato, famoso per le caratteristiche di risonanza sfruttate nella costruzione della cassa armonica dei violini. EN As the name suggests, Eventail has a fan-like shape. When completely opened, the sculpture creates a circle with a play of different heights, almost like a stairway. By rotating the three mo-bile planes that comprise the table, the piece can also assume the shape of a slice of cake. The surfaces feature a succession of shades of colours, highlighting the play of the rotation.

IT Eventail, proprio come suggerisce il suo nome, ricorda un ventaglio. La scultura, in confi gurazione completamente aperta, crea un cerchio con un gioco di diverse altezze sul bordo, quasi a simulare una scala, mentre facendo ruotare i tre piani mobili che la compongono può diventare un tavolino con la forma di uno spicchio di torta. Le colorazioni dei piani in successione cromatica evidenziano il gioco delle rotazioni.

EN This sculpture is based on the theme of “l’amour”, or rather the sinuous intersecting motif that inspired many of Pierre Car-din’s fashion creations in the 1970s, as well as the logo of the Espace theatre. Two clearly contrasting colours are always used to highlight the pattern that results from the intersection of the two parts. In fact, rather than using a mere surface design cre-ated with the fi nish, the piece is actually made of two different elements that are fi nished and coloured separately, then joined with great precision. Featuring a motif that is very dear to its creator, the piece has a strong impact.

IT Questa scultura riprende il tema de “l’amour”, ovvero la sinuosa intersezione che, negli anni ‘70, ha ispirato anche molte creazioni di moda di Pierre Cardin come anche il logo del suo teatro Espace. I colori usati per le due parti sono sempre chiaramente contrastanti proprio per evidenziare il disegno che risulta dalla loro intersezione: infatti non si tratta solamente di un disegno superfi ciale determinato dalla fi nitura ma proprio della realizzazione separata di due elementi autonomamente rifi niti e colorati che sono infi ne incastrati tra loro con precisione millimetrica. Un oggetto di forte impatto e con un soggetto grafi co fortemente caro al suo creatore.

EN This sculpture features three elements with triangular cross sections that move smoothly past one another within the struc-ture, allowing the shape to be changed as desired. Thanks to its strong personality, this sculpture can be displayed alone to decorate the living area. For this piece, Studio Pierre Cardin prefers a gradation of three shades of colour for the triangular elements, and either black or white for the support. The play of movement is vaguely reminiscent of rotating Japanese tables that are used to make dishes available to all of the guests who are seated in a circle. In this piece, however, the three elements move in a parallel, linear fashion.

IT Questa scultura è caratterizzata da tre elementi a sezione triangolare che, scorrendo tra loro all’interno della struttura, ne permettono una libera personalizzazione. Grazie alla sua forte personalità, questa scultura può essere esposta da sola per decorare la zona living. In questo caso lo Studio Pierre Cardin preferisce tre colori in gradazione contigua per gli elementi triangolari mentre nero o bianco per il blocco di sostegno. Il gioco degli spostamenti ricorda vagamente il sistema rotante delle tavole giapponesi utile a far porgere le pietanze a tutti i commensali disposti a cerchio; in questo caso abbiamo uno scorrimento lineare e parallelo dei tre elementi.

EN The work takes its name from the two crescent-shaped pieces that comprise the table. The glass that is held between them gives the coffee table a circular form and creates two different levels. The piece’s simplicity makes it highly recognizable and lends it a playful feel that is enhanced by the use of fi nishes in bright, fresh colours.

IT L’opera prende il nome dalla forma dei due pezzi a forma di croissant che la compongono. Un vetro incastrato tra loro conferisce una forma circolare al tavolino offrendo tra l’altro appoggi su due piani differenti. Questo pezzo della sua semplicità risulta molto riconoscibile e divertente anche per l’uso di fi niture con colori vivaci e freschi.

EN The Eclipse sculpture is a stylized reinterpretation of the theme of “l’amour”, or rather the sinuous intersecting motif that became famous in the 1970s thanks to the “Homme et Femme” series by Studio Pierre Cardin. Although Eclipse was conceived as bar fur-niture, it can be customized to meet the client’s needs, becoming a bookshelf or Hi-Fi cabinet. The contrasting colours are ideal for enlivening a living area or adding a touch of colour to the offi ce.

IT La scultura Eclipse riprende, stilizzandolo, il tema de “l’amour”, ovvero la sinuosa intersezione divenuta famosa negli anni ‘70 grazie alla serie “Homme et femme” dello Studio Pierre Cardin. EN Coccinelle is part of a series of sculptures inspired by nature. It features a strongly convex shape, which makes it ideal for place-ment next to a sofa or a desk table. Rather than designing the piece to be viewed solely from the front, the sides and back are intended to be viewed in the round. Although conceived as bar furniture, the piece can be customized to meet the client’s needs, becoming a bookshelf or a furniture piece that holds up to a 42-inch screen. The design and the brilliance of the red refl ections make it perfect for decorating a living area. The special lacquer fi nish ensures that the piece will remain unchanged over time. It features interior LED light-ing that can be adjusted with a remote control. Small swivel wheels allow the piece to be moved easily. Special Rodrigo Design hinges make opening and closing the doors particularly dynamic. This hinge system is paired with a motorized automatic opening mechanism, which can be activated by remote control or with a light touch.

EN Scarabée is part of a series of sculptures inspired by nature. The cabinet’s unique, decidedly convex shape makes it ideal for placement next to a sofa or a desk table. Rather than designing the piece to be viewed solely from the front, the sides and back are intended to be viewed in the round. Although conceived as bar furniture, the piece can be customized to meet the client’s needs, becoming a bookshelf or a furniture piece that holds a TV screen or Hi-Fi system. The design and the brilliance of the iridescent green refl ections make it perfect for decorating a living area. It features interior LED lighting that can be adjusted with a remote control.Small swivel wheels allow the piece to be moved easily. Special Rodrigo Design hinges make opening and closing the doors particularly dynamic. This hinge system is paired with a motorized automatic opening mechanism, which can be activated by remote control or with a light touch.

EN This majestic masterpiece based on the form of a Medieval mask is supported by a pyramid-shaped joint. The two doors lend character to the work and require skilful craftsmanship in their production. Each is fashioned from a single piece of birch that is hollowed out on the inside to lighten it as much as possible and enable small compartments and containers to be created. A special Rodrigodesign hinge system allows the doors to be opened to a lateral position by means of an extremely elegant automated movement, taking up the least amount of space possible. On the interior, the cherry wood shelves have a natural fi nish, as does the interior of the body of the piece, which is created through the patient craftsmanship of skilful wood sculptors. Each of the main body’s ten interior compartments is illuminated by individual LED lights whose colour can be changed by remote control to create the desired atmosphere in the room. This is one of the most sophisticated and complex of the Sculptures Utilitaires, requiring four months for produc-tion and delivery. The colours and functions of the piece can be cus-tomized and small changes in the proportions and size are possible.

Ogni uno dei 10 scomparti all’interno del corpo principale sono illuminati da singole luci a led colorabili, tramite comando remoto, a seconda dell’atmosfera che si vuole ottenere nella sala che ospita il mobile. Si tratta di una delle creazioni più sofi sticate e complesse tra le Sculptures Utilitaires e richiede infatti quattro mesi per la sua realizzazione e consegna. EN A masterpiece of design and workmanship, Pulp has the stylized form of an octopus with tentacles extending from its body. The three doors lend character to the work and require skilful craftsmanship in their production. Each is created from a single piece of wood made up of ingeniously glued sheets of birch, which leave an elegant structural mark on the interior. The three doors slide into a lateral and vertical position by means of an automated movement that emphasizes the spectacular nature of the work. On the interior, the cherry wood shelves have a natural fi nish, as does the interior of the body of the piece, which is created through the patient craftsmanship of skilful wood sculptors. The application of the exterior fi nish is particularly diffi cult due to the nu-merous curves and the extreme complexity of the surface. The interior is illuminated by individual LED lights whose colour can be changed by remote control to create the desired atmosphere in the room. This is one of the most sophisticated and complex of the Sculptures Utilitaires, requiring more than four months for production and delivery. The col-ours and interior functions can be customized but must be compatible with its unique form.

Le tre aperture danno carattere all’opera e sono molto impegnative nella loro realizzazione: sono lavorate ogni una da un unico blocco di legno costituito da fogli di betulla incollati ad arte di cui resta una elegante traccia strutturale all’interno. Le tre ante si portano per slittamento in posizione laterale e verticale attraverso un movimento automatizzato che enfatizza il carattere spettacolare dell’opera. EN Coupe is a reinterpretation of the “Demi Lune” sculpture, designed by Studio Pierre Cardin in 1977. The sculpture was redesigned to make the proportions suitable for small settings as well. The drawers are spacious and open fully. Upon request, Coupe can be customized with interior LED lighting that can be adjusted with a remote control (included). In addition, two empty spaces in the piece’s circular form can be used as spe-cial secret compartments.

IT Coupe è la rivisitazione della scultura “Demi Lune” progettata nel 1977 dallo stesso Studio Pierre Cardin. La scultura è stata rivista proporzionandola ad ambienti anche piccoli. It has the unique feature of a seemingly fragile support system that holds the half-moon and its eight spacious drawers in “suspension”. EN Papillon is one of the most characteristic and alluring pieces of the collection. The LED lighting is used not only to light the interior of the drawers and the upper shelf whose open covers are reminiscent of the two antennas of a butterfl y, but also to backlight the insect’s abdomen, creating a pleasing atmosphere in the surrounding environment. This particularly sinuous and appealing creation features highly shaped wood. The exterior is fi nished in vivid colours while the cherry wood interior is var-nished to highlight the wood’s grain and reddish colour.

IT Papillon è uno dei pezzi più caratteristici della collezione e tra i più suggestivi. L’illuminazione a led non è solo utilizzata per illuminare l’interno dei cassetti ed il posa oggetti superiore i cui coperchi aperti ricordano le due antenne della farfalla, ma anche per retroilluminare l’addome dell’insetto creando una piacevole atmosfera nell’ambiente circostante. EN This sculpture is part of the Equilibre series, which features furniture composed of wooden modules attached to a tubular chromed metal structure. This chest of drawers features four drawer modules made of lacquered wood in different shades of the same colour. Due to their “random” placement, these draw-ers also create shelves on the interior of the piece, which is sur-rounded by two metal circles that also function as the structural support.

IT Questa scultura fa parte della serie Equilibre che è caratterizzata da mobili composti da una struttura di tubi di metallo cromato nella quale sono incastonati dei moduli in legno. Questa madia prevede l’inserimento di quattro moduli cassetto in legno laccato con sfumature della stessa tonalità di colore. EN Cobra’s sinuous lines recall the shape of a snake. The cobra represents dormant energy, which is the idea that inspired the design of this piece. The sculpture features a handcrafted wood structure, while a plexiglass sheet (illuminated with LED lights whose colour can be changed) discreetly reinforces the system, maintaining the idea of fl exibility provided by the wooden form. In dimly-lit set-tings, the piece creates a decidedly sensual, alluring and dra-matic effect. The colours of the Cobra console’s lacquer fi nish can be customized to suit the client’s needs.

IT Cobra riprende le forme di un serpente per la sua sinuosità. Il cobra rappresenta l’energia dormiente ed è ciò che ha ispirato il design di questo pezzo. EN This console is part of the Pierre Cardin line that features shapes characteristic of the designer’s haute couture and prêt-à-porter collections. In this piece, the circle is not only a decora-tive element, but also a structural one. The objective is to create a feeling of lightness and freshness, but also a sense of com-posure through the use of a series of simple, basic and brightlycoloured elements on a black or dark structure. In the case of the console, the odd, seemingly unbalanced structure enhanc-es the feeling of lightness. The console has four doors and two roomy upper drawers. The colour of the interior LED lighting can be changed as desired with a remote control.

IT Questa console fa parte della linea Pierre Cardin dedicata alle sue forme tipiche spesso utilizzate nei suoi abiti d’alta moda e prêt-à-porter. In questo caso il cerchio è un elemento decorativo ma anche strutturale. La sensazione nell’osservatore voluta da Pierre Cardin è leggerezza e freschezza ma nello stesso tempo compostezza: esse derivano da una successione di elementi semplici e basilari colorati vivacemente su una struttura nera o scura. Per la console, anche la strana struttura apparentemente sbilanciata dona un ulteriore effetto di leggerezza. La console è costituita da 4 ante e 2 ampi cassetti superiori. EN With its bold, vibrant colours, Sterlitzia is part of a Studio Pierre Cardin series inspired by the natural world. This piece is based on the shape of the beautiful Sterlitzia fl ower. The spe-cies that is most commonly cultivated as an ornamental plant is the Sterlizia reginae, which is native to South Africa. It has thick roots and elongated, oval evergreen leaves that are large, leath-ery and erect. The fl owers have an extremely unusual and el-egant shape reminiscent of a heron’s beak. The piece’s design, luminous colours and the unique lighting that it provides make this sculpture suitable for the living area. Small swivel wheels al-low the piece to be moved easily. The lighting can be adjusted by remote control (included).

IT Sterlitzia, con i suoi colori vivaci e decisi, ci riporta all’interno del mondo naturale della serie concepita dallo Studio Pierre Cardin. Sterlitzia, infatti, riprende le forme dell’omonima e bellissima pianta. La specie più coltivata come pianta ornamentale è la “STERLITZIA REGINAE”, originaria del Sud Africa con grosse radici e grandi foglie persistenti erette coriacee, ovali ed allungate. I fi ori hanno una forma estremamente particolare elegante a becco di airone. Grazie al design, alla luminosità del colore e alla particolare illuminazione che produce, questa scultura è adatta alla zona giorno. Piccole ruote direzionabili permettono un facile spostamento. EN The piece’s unique shape recalls the design of a few of Pierre Cardin’s successful apparel collections. The spatial in-spiration and freely developed geometric shapes of this Studio Pierre Cardin sculpture inspired the concept of Palais Lumière, a building that can be viewed as an “inhabitable” version of this piece. With respect to clothing, Monsieur Cardin asserted “I create a form and place a body inside it”. This was precisely the inspiration in the case of Lumière. This fresh, original and colourful sculpture is suitable for settings that range from the study to the living area. The interior LED lighting can be adjusted by remote control (included) and small swivel wheels allow the piece to be moved easily.

IT La sua particolare forma, riprende il design di alcune fortunate collezioni di abbigliamento Pierre Cardin. Riconosciamo l’ispirazione spaziale e le forme geometriche liberamente sviluppate in questa scultura dallo Studio Pierre Cardin: si noti che questa forma ha ispirato a sua volta il concept di Palais Lumière che potremmo defi nire come la versione “abitabile” del mobile. EN This wardrobe is part of the Pierre Cardin line that features shapes characteristic of the designer’s haute couture and prêt-à-porter collections. In this piece, the square is the main deco-rative element. The objective is to create a feeling of freshness and simplicity. The piece features three brightly coloured squares placed in a simple yet deliberate arrangement on a structure in a light complementary colour. Both of the shades of colour have blue in common, with yellow becoming lime green and red becoming lilac. The wardrobe features four non-symmetrical doors. This creates a pattern of vanishing points that originate in the main square and divide it into four sections, which func-tion as handles. The colour of the interior LED lighting can be changed as desired with a remote control.

IT Questo guardaroba fa parte della linea Pierre Cardin dedicata alle sue forme tipiche spesso utilizzate nei suoi abiti d’alta moda e prêt-à-porter. In questo caso il quadrato è l’elemento decorativo. L’intenzione voluta da Pierre Cardin è donare una sensazione di freschezza e semplicità: solo 3 quadrati in una successione semplice ma non casuale colorati vivacemente su una struttura chiara di un colore complementare con un po’ di azzurro in comune negli impasti del giallo e del rosso. Questo guardaroba è costituito da 4 ante con dimensioni non simmetriche per creare un disegno di fughe che dipartono dal quadrato principale facendolo così risultare costituito da 4 porzioni che fungono da maniglie. EN In the updated 2007 version from Studio Pierre Cardin, Quatrefeuille combines four Feuille sculptures in a single cabi-net equipped with doors and drawers. As the name implies, the result of this union is an impressive and highly decorative four-leaf design. The unique pairing of the three colour tones lends a sense of unity to the creation while also making it extremely distinctive and recognizable. The interior LEDs create an inter-esting play of light through the numerous vanishing points cre-ated by the drawers and doors, and also enhance ease of use.

IT Quatrefeuille è la combinazione di quattro sculture Feuille, nella versione rivista nel 2007 dallo Studio Pierre Cardin, in un unico mobile attrezzato sia con ante sia con cassetti. Il risultato di questa unione, come dice il nome, è un imponente quadrifoglio altamente decorativo. EN This distinctive cabinet with centre hinges that open the doors in a butterfl y fashion owes its uniqueness to the central design produced during the lacquering stage – a stylized light-ning bolt, a motif that Pierre Cardin is reinterpreting thirty years later with numerous vinyl decorations on clothing and accesso-ries. The interior surfaces, including the interior of the drawers, are in elegant cherry wood. Upon request, the central hinges can be replaced with side hinges that open towards the exterior if required. The interior compartments are lit by coloured diffuse LED lights.

IT Questo particolare mobile con cerniere al centro ed apertura a farfalla delle due ante deve la sua particolarità al disegno centrale ottenuto in fase di laccatura: una stilizzazione di un fulmine, un disegno ripreso da Pierre Cardin a trent’anni di distanza in molti decori in vinile dei suoi abiti ed accessori. L’interno presenta superfi ci in legno di ciliegio eleganti anche all’interno dei cassetti. In caso di richiesta d’una destinazione d’uso che non prevede la cerniera centrale allora è previsto un sistema di cerniere laterali che apriranno le ante verso l’esterno. EN This interesting creation seems to be inspired by the idea of a sphere thrown into a pond, forming natural curved waves around it that are distorted by random protuberances. The con-tours of the exterior of the piece contrast with the squared form of the interior – a bookshelf supported by a central stalk. So as not to disrupt the sinuous, curvilinear forms, an innovative opening system was adopted that divides the cabinet into ra-dial sections that are hinged to the central vertical axis. These open in rapid succession using a camshaft designed by Rod-rigodesign for this purpose. The mechanism can be activated automatically with a remote control or by gently touching the central sphere – the dynamic effect is undeniably spectacular, especially in a dimly-let setting thanks to the interior LED lights whose colour can be changed as desired.

IT Interessante creazione che sembra ideata attorno ad una sfera che gettata in uno stagno forma naturali curve d’onda tutto intorno deformate da sporgenze casuali. All’interno viene ripresa un squadratura in contrasto con il profi lo esterno del mobile: una struttura a libreria sostenuta dallo stelo centrale. Per non interrompere le sinuose forme curvilinee si è adottato un innovativo sistema di apertura per settori radiali incernierati all’asse centrale verticale. Essi si aprono in una rapida successione gestita da un albero a camme disegnato specifi catamente da Rodrigodesign è attivato automaticamente con comando remoto o sfi orando la sfera centrale: l’effetto dinamico è di indiscusso effetto spettacolare specialmente se in penombra grazie alle luci a led all’interno colorate a piacere.

The objective of creating a completely self-contained system required a specifi c study that combined art with advanced technological research. The concealed core is composed of a self-contained mi-cro-heat pump that provides radiant and convection cooling and heating. In addition, the system dehumidifi es the room, purifi es the air with UV light and removes dust through electrostatic fi ltration. This system was designed and certifi ed entirely by Studio Pierre Cardin and a leading Italian technology company, working togeth-er in a joint venture. The system can be controlled remotely with an app for tablets and smartphones. This innovative machine has a minimal depth, allowing it to be concealed within an aluminium sculpture with sinuous lines that is a tribute to femininity, while the colours describe the passionate character supported by the vital reality of nature.

The shapes sur-round a whimsical sphere that counterbalances the asymmetry of the volumes.

EN Nativité is part of a line of sculptures with integrated climate con-trol systems, created by Pierre Cardin in the early 2000s. The objec-tive of creating a completely self-contained system required a specifi c study that combined art with advanced technological research. The concealed core is composed of a self-contained micro-heat pump that provides radiant and convection cooling and heating. In addition, the system dehumidifi es the room, purifi es the air with UV light and removesdust through electrostatic fi ltration. This system was designed and certifi ed entirely by Studio Pierre Cardin and a leading Italian technol-ogy company, working together in a joint venture. The system can be controlled remotely with an app for tablets and smartphones. This in-novative machine has a minimal depth, allowing it to be hidden within an aluminium sculpture that uses simple geometric shapes, in keepingwith Cardin’s well-known stylistic features, to abstractly represent the birth of a baby girl. The sculpture features feminine roundness and three colours: a deep, mature red, a more childlike red created by adding yellow – the colour of a vital fl ame – and blue to represent masculinity.

La sua volontà chefossero completamente autonomi ha imposto uno studio specifi co che integrasse arte e ricerca tecnologica avanzata. Il cuore nascosto dunque è costituito da una micropompa di calore autonoma che permette non solo il raffrescamento ed il riscaldamento per irraggiamento e convezione, ma anche la deumidifi cazione degli ambienti e la sanifi cazione dell’aria tramite raggi UV insieme all’eliminazione di polveri per fi ltrazione elettrostatica. Questo sistema completamente ideato e certifi cato in seno allo Studio Pierre Cardin e ad una join-venture con una società tecnologica italiana di prim’ordine controllabile da remoto attraverso una app installata su tablet o smartphone. Una macchina completamente innovativa e di spessore minimo che permette di esseredissimulata da una scultura in alluminio che con forme geometriche semplici, in linea con i ben noti stilemi Cardin, vuole astrattamente rappresentare la nascita di una bimba. Rotondità femminili. Il rosso maturo o più infantile con aggiunta del giallo del fuoco vitale. Il blu per l’uomo.

This system was designed and certi-fi ed entirely by Studio Pierre Cardin and a leading Italian technol-ogy company, working together in a joint venture. The system can be controlled remotely with an app for tablets and smartphones.Like all of the models in the series created in 2007, Lotus is based on a natural form, reproducing the shape of this marvellous ex-otic fl ower. The design and brightness of its colour lend a cheerful touch to the living area. A system of LED lights whose colour can be changed by remote control further enlivens the shades of vivid colours. Thin sheets of metal direct the heater’s air fl ow diffusely throughout the surrounding environment. The material also acts as a thermal fl ywheel, continuing to radiate heat after the unit has been turned off.

EN This sculpture is part of the Nœud series, which features the characteristic design of a stylized knot on the front. In this bed, the layers of the knot extend outwards to create two night tables. When paired with the chest of drawers from the same series, this sculpture creates an elegant and complete ensem-ble for the bedroom. For this line, Studio Pierre Cardin prefers a lacquer fi nish in two shades of the same colour, to be selected with the client.The special aluminium structure supporting the sprung bed base allows the four feet to be set back and thus not visible. This creates a suspended effect that is heightened by a “plasma” of light that seems to support the bed.

IT Questa scultura fa parte della serie Nœud, che si contraddistingue per il caratteristico disegno del nodo stilizzato presente sulla facciata. In questo comò, i capi del nodo si allungano fi no a formare i due comodini. Affi ancata al comò della stessa serie, questa scultura può creare una elegante composizione completa per la camera da letto. Di preferenza Studio Pierre Cardin vuole per questa linea una fi nitura laccata con due gradazioni dello stesso colore che viene concordato con il committente.La speciale struttura in alluminio che sostiene la rete fa si che i quattro appoggi a terra possano essere abbastanza arretrati da non essere visibili, tanto da creare un effetto di sospensione rimarcato da un plasma di luce che sembra sostenere il letto.

EN This object has clean, square lines that are also striking and bold. The two night tables that seem to enwrap the stringers are composed of two small but convenient drawers, placed one above the other. The simplicity of the design highlights the fea-ture that gives the piece its name – two close-set stripes having different widths and colours – one in mirror-polished stainless steel, while the other is an Alcantara fabric insert. This elegant, simple asymmetric motif is echoed by fabric inserts on the bed-spread.The special aluminium structure that supports the sprung bed base allows the four feet to be set back and thus not visible. IT Questo oggetto ha forme nette e squadrate ma imponenti e per nulla dissimulate. I due comodini sembrano avvolgere i longheroni laterali e sono costituiti da due piccoli ma utili cassetti sovrapposti. La semplicità del design mette in evidenza l’elemento che da il nome all’opera, ovvero una banda costituita da due linee accostate di diverso spessore e colore: una in acciaio inox lucidato a specchio, l’altra è un inserto in tessuto di Alcantara. Il richiamo di questo elegante e semplice motivo asimmetrico è richiamato sul copriletto attraverso inserti di tessuto.La speciale struttura in alluminio che sostiene la rete fa si che i quattro appoggi a terra possano essere abbastanza arretrati da non essere visibili, tanto da creare un effetto di sospensione rimarcato da un plasma di luce che sembra sostenere il letto.
