Early Childhood Screening 952-226-0975

The early childhood years, from birth to the start of kindergarten, are an important time of rapid learning and growth. Early Childhood Screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is doing at age three to four. The screening process identifies, at an early age, possible health or learning concerns so children can get help before starting school. All children need to be screened before enrolling in kindergarten. If your child is of screening age and you’d like to schedule an appointment, or if you are conscientiously opposed to screening, please contact our office.

District Calendar to go Digital

Due to budget reductions and environ-mental considerations, the district will not be printing and mailing a district-wide calendar this year. You can find calendar information at www.priorlake-savage.k12.mn.us then go to “Quick Guide”, then “Parent Info”.

Gary Greco has devoted countless hours to the PLHS Industrial Technology Department helping with repairs and making tools and equipment that students use each day. Volunteering his skills and labor has not only improved the shops for better student learning; it has also allowed the teachers to spend optimal time with students. Denell Lund has been called an “essential volunteer” and “part of our team” at PLHS. Denell has served on numerous committees including Graduation, Parent Advisory and more. She coordinates volunteer efforts at the high school, helps out during conference time and is willing to take on any new task. Four organizations received the Partners in Education Award: Friends of Wolf Ridge, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, Prior Lake-Spring Lake Watershed District and Sailer’s Greenhouse. Each of these businesses and organizations has helped us fulfill our commitment to environmental education. These are just a few recent examples of outstanding service taking place in and for our schools. Our volunteers are leading by example and working hard to make our schools and community a better place. Thank you!

Throughout Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools; students, staff, parents and com-munity volunteers give of themselves to make our schools and community better. The annual Partnership Celebration, sponsored by Community Education Ser-vices recognizes the many people and orga-nizations that donate their time and resourc-es to benefit our schools. The Phoebe Award is the night’s highest honor. This award recognizes an individual who supports education through service and has made a positive impact on students. This year two people were honored: Gary Greco and Denell Lund.
