1. Among the five (5) subject areas tested• Students scored highest in Mathematics (47.82)• Lowest in Science (37.98)• English (47.73), Araling Panlipunan (47.63), and Filipino (40.51)

2. An average high school graduating student can answer correctly

• almost 5 out of 10 questions in English, Mathematics and Araling Panlipunan

• 4 out of 10 questions in Filipino and about 4 in Science

3. Evidently, Science is the most difficult subject among high school seniors

20. Near Mastery Level is achieved by Eastern Visayas and CARAGA in all subject areas• Except Filipino where both are within the Low Mastery Level

• Vocational/Trade Schools, Public National High Schools, and State Colleges and Universities, respectively

Performance by Class Size38. Regardless of subject area, classes of 31-60 students tended to score higher

• than that of classes of less than 30 and classes of more than 6039. Students from overcrowded classes registered lowest MPS in all subject

areas tested

1. For good Academic Performance, maintain the class size of 60 and below.2. Provide reference books.3. Instructional materials and equipment provided to Science High Schools should also

be given to National High Schools and other Public High Schools.

4. Strengthen training programs that would enhance the teaching skills and strategies of the concerned teachers.

5. Make use of the National Achievement Test results in keeping track of the Achievement levels of their constituent schools.
