A LITTLE TIME AWAY
I will be gone Tuesday and Wednesday to our annual clergy spring gathering with the Bishop in Raymond, IL. After the meeting I will head to St. Louis and fly out on Thursday for a few days in Jupiter, Florida for Spring Training with the Cardinals. I will be back in Quincy on the afternoon of March 18. Hopefully my travel won’t bring snow as it so often does!
FEAST OF ST. JOSEPH
Thursday, March 19 is the Feast of St. Joseph. I will be having a special Mass at 6:00 p.m. that evening. Included in the Mass is the Blessing of St. Joseph’s Table. Breads, Rolls, and Pastries are blessed with some of them to be given to the poor. This is a day to suspend our Lenten fast and celebrate St. Joseph as guardian of the Holy Family and Patron of the Universal Church.
Since St. Joseph is especially honored in Italy, I would like to have dinner at Tiramisu that evening at 7:00 for those who are interested. The cost of dinner will be on your own but let Sally know if you are interested and we can make a reservation.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
A reminder that we do pray the stations of the cross after the 7:00 a.m. Mass on Fridays during Lent.

Cemetery Clean-up
The Greenmount Cemetery will have the ANNUAL CLEAN-UP of the cemetery grounds from March 16-20. We ask families to remove all items by March 15 and not to replace them until March 21. This is a complete clean up — everything must be removed, except for the Shepherds’ hooks/staffs, but all items need to be removed from the hooks.
CLEAN UP for 2020 for Calvary, St. Peter and St. Boniface Cemeteries will be held March 23 thru 27. Everything has to be off the graves March 22. Please take this time to look at your shepherds’ hook and make sure it is not rusting. Rust will damage your stones.
Traditional Marriage Crusade
God’s marriage and the traditional family need our prayers. That is why you are invited to join our 2020 Traditional Marriage Rosary Rally.
In The Secret of the Rosary, Saint Louis de Montfort said: “Public prayer is far more powerful than private prayer to appease the anger of God and call down His mercy, and Holy Mother Church, guided by the Holy Ghost, has always advocated public prayer in times of public tragedy and suffer-ing.”
What: THE HOLY ROSARY
Where: St. Boniface Church (outside)
When: March 21 at 11:45 a.m. Rally begins at Noon
For more information, contact Parker Brown at email: [email protected]
