(reporting, payments etc.) as per the guidelines.

• Win at least 7 RI awards for good performance.

• Develop leaders and have at least 10 serving above District

Membership• Increase average number

of active and effective members per club from current 25% to 50%.

• Membership retention; reduce attrition from 90% to 25% of new members.

• Raise the minimum number of Rotarians per club to 20 for 85% of the Clubs.

• Consider redistricting of Tanzania & Uganda in 2018

The Rotary Foundation• Donate at least USD 3

million over the five-year period.

• Participate in TRF utilization activities to the tune of at least USD 30 million.

• Have at least 95 clubs running GG by end of 2016 and sustain.

New Generation• Each Club to sponsor 3

Rotaract clubs over the 5 year period.

• Each Club to sponsor 5 Interact clubs over the period.

• Have 1,500 Youths attending RYLA over the period.

• Youth Exchange • Have the Rotary

Vocational School functional in Tanzania by end of June 2014.

annual event in each country involving at least 5,000 people and raising “significant” funds for a national cause.

• Rotary to be recognized as the top voluntary organization in each country.

Service Programs• At least 50% of clubs to

have 1 impactful health project per year.

• Each Club to be linked to at least 1 major water project per year.

• At least 30% of clubs to participate in environment related projects each year.

• At least 20% of the clubs to participate in impactful economic empowerment projects per year.

• Double the number of RCCs over the strategy period.

• Public Image – better image will lead to greater interest to join

• High profile & many Service Projects - greater involvement of Rotarians (interest to stay & contribute), better Public Image (greater interest to join)

• New Generation - greater engagement, ensure higher rate of Rotaractors joining Rotary

• Rotary Knowledge - better understanding will lead to better engagement and hence improved retention. Use RLI extensively.

• Extension – especially in under represented areas and high density urban areas

• Recruitment – spouses, other family……• More Rotarians and less “members” – higher retention• Problem of dues and attendance are just symptoms, we

need to focus on making clubs places where Rotarians would like to belong and see value.
