New Memorial Window: PAUL
A new memorial window has been placed in
the office corridor along the Shrader
Memorial Garden.
The Journeys of Paul In memory of Julia Yonkers Given by family and friends
Trained as a Pharisee, Saul was a determined
persecutor of early Christians. However, after
his conversion while traveling to Damascus,
he became one of the most important
figures in the spread of Christianity.
Paul made three missionary journeys
throughout Asia Minor and Europe,
preaching and teaching the Gospel and
establishing churches in Thessalonica,
Corinth, Philippi, Ephesus, and other places.
The markers on the window indicate places
where he stopped and spent time during his
trips. Scholars attribute as many as twelve of
the twenty-seven New Testament books and
letters to Paul.
Originally this area of windows was
dedicated to Jesus and the disciples.
Recently the Board of Trustees broadened
the designation to men of the New
Testament.
