After completing the motion graphics basics with Adobe After Effects course, video editing students will proficiently utilize the After Effects interface and efficiently create shapes, text, and effects. Students will successfully animate their artwork with various motion techniques to closely reflect movement in the real world.

Given access to Adobe After Effects on a computer, video editing students will animate a title or logo in fifteen minutes during class.

10 Main Performance Steps:

1) Set up the project2) Set up the composition.3) Create at least one shape layer in a size, format and color that meets the specifications set by the rubric. 4) Create at least one text layer in a size, format and color that meets the specifications set by the rubric. 5) Add at least one layer effect to both shapes and text.6) Anchor Point X, Y, Z – make an adjustment with both text and shape.7) Position X, Y, Z - make an adjustment with both text and shape.8) Rotation X, Y Z – make an adjustment with both text and shape.9) Orientation X, Y, Z – make an adjustment with both text and shape.10) End the animation at ten seconds within 100px of X:0, Y:0, Z:0 coordinates.
