• Spilled gasoline and it’s vapors can be-come ignited from cigarette sparks,electrical arcing, exhaust gases, and hotengine components such as the muffler.

• Heat will expand fuel in the tank whichcould result in spillage and possible fireexplosion.

• Operating the pressure washer in an ex-plosive environment could result in afire.

• Materials placed against or near thepressure washer can interfere with itsproper ventilation features causing over-heating and possible ignition of thematerials.

• Muffler exhaust heat can damage paint-ed surfaces, melt any material sensitiveto heat (such as siding, plastic, rubber,or vinyl), and damage live plants.

• Shut off engine and allow it to coolbefore adding fuel to the tank.

• Use care in filling tank to avoid spillingfuel. Move pressure washer away fromfueling area before starting engine.

• Keep maximum fuel level ½” below topof tank to allow for expansion.

• Always keep pressure washer a mini-mum of four feet away from surfaces(such as houses, automobiles, or liveplants) that could be damaged frommuffler exhaust heat.

• Operate and fuel equipment in well ven-tilated areas free from obstructions.Equip areas with fire extinguishers suit-able for gasoline fires.

• Never operate pressure washer in anarea containing dry brush or weeds.

• If engine does not start after twopulls, squeeze trigger of gun torelieve pump pressure. Pull startercord slowly until resistance is felt.Then pull cord rapidly to avoid kick-back and prevent hand or arm injury.

• Unsafe operation of your pressurewasher could lead to serious injury ordeath to you or others.

• The spray gun/wand is a powerful clean-ing tool that could look like a toy to achild.

• Keep children away from the pressurewasher at all times.

• Reactive force of spray will causegun/wand to move, and could cause theoperator to slip or fall, or misdirect thespray. Improper control of gun/wand canresult in injuries to self and others.

• Do not overreach or stand on an unsta-ble support. Grip gun/wand firmly withboth hands. Expect the gun to kickwhen triggered.

• Do not use acids, gasoline, kerosene, orany other flammable materials in thisproduct. Use only household deter-gents, cleaners and degreasers recom-mended for use in pressure washers.

• Wear protective clothing to protect eyesand skin from contact with sprayedmaterials.

RISK TO FLUID INJECTION

• Your washer operates at fluid pressuresand velocities high enough to penetratehuman and animal flesh, which couldresult in amputation or other serious injury. Leaks caused by loose fittings orworn or damaged hoses can result ininjection injuries. DO NOT TREAT FLUIDINJECTION AS A SIMPLE CUT! See aphysician immediately!

• Never place hands in front of nozzle.• Direct spray away from self and others.• Make sure hose and fittings are tight-

ened and in good condition. Neverhold onto the hose or fittings during op-eration.

• Do not allow hose to contact muffler.• Never attach or remove wand or hose

fittings while system is pressurized.• Use only hose and high pressure

accessories rated for pressure higherthan your pressure washer's p.s.i.

• Fuel or oil can leak or spill and couldresult in fire or breathing hazard, seriousinjury or death can result. Fuel or oilleaks will damage carpet, paint or othersurfaces in vehicles or trailers.

• If pressure washer is equipped with afuel shut-off valve, turn the valve to theoff position before transporting to avoidfuel leaks. If pressure washer is notequipped with a fuel shut-off valve, drainthe fuel from tank before transporting.Only transport fuel in an OSHAapproved container. Always place pres-sure washer on a protective mat whentransporting to protect against damageto vehicle from leaks. Remove pressurewasher from vehicle immediately uponarrival at your destination.

RISK OF INJURY AND PROPERTYDAMAGE WHEN TRANSPORTINGOR STORING

The powerful spray from your pressure washer is capable of caus-ing damage to surfaces such as wood, glass, automobile paint, auto

striping and trim, and delicate objects such as flowers and shrubs. Before spraying,check the item to be cleaned to assure yourself that it is strong enough to resistdamage from the force of the spray. Avoid the use of the concentrated spray streamexcept for very strong surfaces like concrete and steel.

Operating without flow of water will result in equipment damage. Operating the pres-sure washer with water supply shutoff will void your warranty. You should never runthis pressure washer for more than 2 minutes without pulling the trigger to allow coolwater to enter the pump and the heated (recirculated) water to exit.

PRESSURE WASHERHigh Pressure Pump: Increases thepressure of the water supply.

Engine: Drives the high pressurepump.

High Pressure Hose: Carries thepressurized water from the pump tothe gun and wand.

Spray Gun: Connects with wand tocontrol water flow rate, direction, andpressure.

Multi-Reg Wand: Has a spray nozzlewhich adjust from a pencil stream (0°)to a wide angle fan spray (40°). Thespray can be adjusted by twisting thenozzle clockwise and/or counter-clockwise. Also, the high and lowpressure settings can be controlledby moving the nozzle in and out. SeeOperation section.

ENGINE Refer to the engine manual for loca-tion and operation of engine controls.

Chemical Hose: Allows cleaners orcleaning solvents to be mixed withthe pressurized water stream. SeeHow To Siphon Chemicals/CleaningSolvents in Operation section of thismanual.

GPM: Gallons Per Minute. The unitof measure for the flow rate of waterthrough the pressure washer.CU: Cleaning Units. GPM multipliedby PSI.Bypass Mode: In Bypass Mode, thepump is recirculating water becausethe trigger of the spray gun is notpulled. If unit is left in bypass modefor more than two (2) minutes, thewater temperature will rise to a dan-gerous level and can damage internalcomponents of the pump. Any dam-age to pump due to these causes willnot be covered under warranty.

DO NOT allow yourunit to operate in

bypass mode for more than twominutes at any time. Overheatingof pump will cause damage topump.Thermal Relief Valve:In an effort to preventdamage, pumps areequipped with a ther-mal relief valve. Thisvalve will open whenthe temperature inside the pumprises too high. This valve will thenrelease a gush of water in an effort tolower the temperature inside thepump. Immediately after this occurs,the valve will close. Chemical Injection: Feeds cleaningagents into the pump to mix with thepressurized water and help in clean-ing.Water Supply: All pressure washersmust have a source of water. Theminimum requirements for a watersupply are 20 PSI and 5 gallons perminute.

HOW TO USEIMPORTANT: Read and understandhow to use the pressure washerbefore operating.

TO USE WANDYour pressure washer is equippedwith a multi-reg wand with both highand low pressure settings. The highpressure setting is for cleaning andrinsing, the low pressure setting is forapplying chemicals or cleaning solu-tions to surfaces.

Risk of injection orinjury to person. Do

not direct discharge stream towardpersons, unprotected skin, eyes, orany pets or animals. Serious injurycan occur.For high pressure operation, pull backthe nozzle of the multi-reg wand asshown.

TO ADJUST PRESSUREThe pressure setting is preset at thefactory to achieve optimum pressureand cleaning. If you need to lower thepressure, it can be accomplished bythese methods.

1. Back away from the surface to becleaned. The further away youare, the less the pressure will beon the surface to be cleaned.

2. Reduce the speed of the gaso-line engine (RPM). Slow theengine down and the water pres-sure will go down with it.

DO NOT attempt toincrease pump

pressure. A higher pressure set-ting than the factory set pressuremay damage pump.

The nozzle at the end of the multi-regwand can be rotated to change thehigh pressure spray pattern from anarrow jet to a 40º fan shape, asshown. Markings have been placedon the nozzle to help you select thespray pattern.

For low pressure operation, extendthe nozzle of the multi-reg wand asshown.

TO SIPHONCHEMICALS/CLEANINGSOLVENTSSiphoning chemicals or cleaning sol-vents is a low pressure operation.

NOTE: Use only soaps and chemi-cals designed for pressure washeruse. Do not use bleach.

1. Press chemical hose ontobarbed fitting located near highpressure hose connection ofpump as shown.

2. Place other end of chemical hosewith filter on it into containerholding chemical/cleaning solu-tion.

3. Set multi-reg nozzle to low pres-sure setting, see How To UseWand paragraph in this section.

4. After use of chemical, siphonclean water through chemicalhose to rinse it and pump clean.Chemicals which remain in pumpcan damage it. Damage to pumpdue to chemicals will not be cov-ered under warranty.

NOTE: Chemicals and soap will notsiphon when wand is in the highpressure setting.

• DO NOT use hot water, usecold water only.

• DO NOT stop spraying waterfor more than two minutes at atime.

1. Add fresh high quality unleadedgasoline with a pump octane rat-ing of 86 or higher. Do not over-fill. Wipe up spilled fuel beforestarting the engine. Refer toengine manual for correct proce-dure.

2. Check engine oil. Refer to theengine manual for correct proce-dure.

MAINTENANCE WHEN PERFORMING MAINTENANCE, YOU MAY BEEXPOSED TO HOT SURFACES, WATER PRESSURE, MOV-

ING PARTS, OR FIRE RESULTING IN DEATH. BEFORE PERFORMING ANYMAINTENANCE OR REPAIR, DISCONNECT SPARK PLUG WIRE, LETENGINE COOL AND RELEASE ALL WATER PRESSURE. THE ENGINE CON-TAINS FLAMMABLE FUEL. DO NOT SMOKE OR WORK NEAR OPENFLAMES WHILE PERFORMING MAINTENANCE.

To ensure efficient operation and longer life of your pressure washer, a routinemaintenance schedule should be prepared and followed. If the pressure washeris used in unusual conditions, such as high-temperatures or dusty conditions,more frequent maintenance checks will be required.

5. Remove the nozzle from the endof the wand with the 2mm allenwrench provided as shown.

6. Clean the nozzle using the nozzlecleaner provided or a straight-ened paper clip. Insert into thenozzle end and work back andforth until obstruction is re-moved.

7. Direct water supply into nozzleend to backflush loosened parti-cles for 30 seconds.

8. Reconnect spark plug wire.9. Reassemble the nozzle to the

wand. Tighten securely to pre-vent leaks.

10. Reconnect wand to gun and turnon water supply.

11. Start pressure washer and placewand into high pressure settingto test.

WANDIf the nozzle becomes clogged withforeign materials, such as dirt, exces-sive pressure may develop. If thenozzle becomes partially clogged orrestricted, the pump pressure will pul-sate. Clean the nozzle immediatelyusing the nozzle kit supplied and thefollowing instructions:1. Shut off the pressure washer and

turn off the water supply.2. Disconnect spark plug wire.3. Pull trigger on gun handle to

relieve any water pressure.4. Disconnect the wand from the

gun.

and removing it from water inletof pump as shown.

2. Clean filter by flushing it withwater on both sides.

ENGINE Refer to the engine manual for themanufacturer’s recommendations forstorage.PUMPIt is recommended that you followthese steps to protect the internalseals of the pressure washer whenstoring the unit for an extendedperiod and WHEN FREEZING TEM-PERATURES ARE EXPECTED.NOTE: If storing the unit for morethan 30 days RV antifreeze or wind-shield washer fluid needs to be runthrough the pump. This helps pre-vent damage within the pump head.RV antifreeze or windshield washerfluid is not only added for winteriz-ing, but for proper lubricationregardless of temperature or envi-ronment. Storing the pump less than30 days does not require the RVantifreeze or windshield washerfluid.1. Obtain a funnel, six ounces of RV

antifreeze or windshield washerfluid, and approximately 12 inchesof garden hose with a male hoseconnector attached to one end.

Use only RVantifreeze. Any

other antifreeze is corrosive and candamage pump.2. Disconnect spark plug wire.3. Disconnect high pressure hose

from pump and from spray gun.

4. Connect 12 inch length of hose towater inlet of pump.

5. Add RV antifreeze or windshieldwasher fluid to hose as shown.

6. Pull engine starter rope slowlyseveral times until antifreeze orwindshield washer fluid comesout of high pressure hose connec-tion of pump.

7. Remove short hose from waterinlet of pump.

8. Reconnect spark plug wire.9. Drain all water from high pressure

hose, coil it, and store it in cradleof the pressure washer handle.

10. Drain all water from spray gun andwand by holding spray gun in avertical position with nozzle endpointing down and squeezing trig-ger. Store in gun/hose holder.

11. Store chemical hose, high pres-sure hose, spray gun, and wandso they are protected from dam-age, such as being run over.

The product must be evaluat-

ed by an Delta Authorized Warranty Service Center. For the location of the nearest Delta AuthorizedWarranty Service Center call 1-866-422-4286, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• Retain original cash register sales receipt as proof of purchase for warranty work.• Use reasonable care in the operation and maintenance of the product as described in the Owners

Manual(s).• Deliver or ship the product to the nearest Delta Authorized Warranty Service Center. Freight costs, if any,

must be paid by the purchaser.• Air compressors with 60 and 80 gallon tanks will be inspected at the site of installation. Contact the near-

est Delta Authorized Warranty Service Center that provides on-site service calls, for service call arrange-ments.

• If the purchaser does not receive satisfactory results from the Delta Authorized Warranty Service Center,the purchaser should contact Delta.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:• Merchandise sold as reconditioned, used as rental equipment, and floor or display models.• Merchandise that has become damaged or inoperative because of ordinary wear, misuse*, cold, heat, rain,

excessive humidity, freeze damage, use of improper chemicals, negligence, accident, failure to operatethe product in accordance with the instructions provided in the Owners Manual(s) supplied with the prod-uct, improper maintenance, the use of accessories or attachments not recommended by Delta, or unau-thorized repair or alterations. * An air compressor that pumps air more than 50% during a one hour period is considered misusebecause the air compressor is undersized for the required air demand.

• Repair and transportation costs of merchandise determined not to be defective.• Costs associated with assembly, required oil, adjustments or other installation and start-up costs.• Expendable parts or accessories supplied with the product which are expected to become inoperative or

unuseable after a reasonable period of use, including but not limited to sanding disks or pads, saw andshear blades, grinding stones, springs, chisels, nozzles, o-rings, air jets, washers and similar accessories.

• Merchandise sold by Delta which has been manufactured by and identified as the product of anothercompany, such as gasoline engines. The product manufacturer's warranty, if any, will apply.
