The farm’s 8,000 hectare cropping programme includes a mix of wheat, lupins and canola. In late 2010 a new shed was required to securely store the modern farm machinery fleet and keep it out of the weather. A fully enclosed configuration with full width open end door accessibility formed part of the requested specifications. WHEATBELT STEEL’S ANSWER An 840 square metre fully enclosed 40m x 21m x 7m structural web truss shed incorporating 4 x sliding doors on each end of the shed with 6.1mtr door clearance height. The design included extended door heads on outriggers to provide a full 21m wide opening. CLIENT’S WORDS “We required a new shed so we could lock up all our gear and keep it well and truly out of the weather. We chose Wheatbelt Steel because they had a good reputation of building a good honest style shed. It was very professional all the way through and a top quality job. The doors are a big feature of a shed, and we required good solid doors which have been a let down on some other sheds.
