Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal
Envelopes were sent out early this week, providing the opportunity for families, if
they wished, to support this great cause. Our Junior School Council have also
supported TOMORROW as an OUT OF SCHOOL UNIFORM DAY. Children are asked
to bring a gold coin donation that will also go towards the Good Friday Appeal.
Cade, our Junior School Council President will share the total amount raised in our
next Linkletter. Thank you in anticipation for your support.
PFA BINGO NIGHT A GREAT SUCCESS
Saturday night we had many of our families come and participate in a night of
laughter and good old fashioned family fun. The PFA BINGO night was held in the
little gym and was hosted and called by our very talented and enthusiastic Shaz. I
would like to take this opportunity to thank Shaz for giving her time to do this. I
would also like to thank all the parents and friends who assisted in organising and
cleaning up on the night. Particular thanks to Sharon Murphy and Zoe Webster for
their coordination and organisation of this great event.
***Can I also clarify - SHAZ IS NOT LEAVING GK TO BECOME A TRAVELLING BINGO
CALLER - after my joke at assembly, it left some questions in people’s minds. Shaz
is still here with us. :)
Parent Teacher Interviews
Thank you to all our families for visiting over the last two weeks. Our teachers
have appreciated the time to meet and discuss your child’s learning and look
forward to continuing to communicate the successes and needs of your children
as the year progresses. If for any reason you still have areas of need you wish to
discuss further, I encourage you to contact your child’s teacher to make another
time with them.
SeeSaw and portfoliosSeeSaw and portfoliosSeeSaw and portfoliosSeeSaw and portfolios This year sees the gradual implementation of our digital portfolios and
communication spreading, with our Year Prep, One, Five and Six classes using See-
Saw. For parents of students in these year levels, you will already have access to
the wonderful learning experiences that have occurred this Term. If you are un-
sure about how to access your child’s digital portfolio, please contact your child’s
teacher so you don’t miss out on this wonderful world of learning. A reminder
that this also means that if your child is in any of these year levels, they will no
longer come home at the end of term with a ‘paper portfolio book’. Next year we
will be a P-6 Digital portfolio school.
Have a wonderful break and a fabulous Easter everyone. See you next Term.

Introducing….
Linkletter Page 4
The Impact Performing Arts captains presented a rap written by one of our teachers Sarah Hill announcing our forth-
coming production, Seussical, at assembly on Monday and they did a great job – well done team! Seussical is a big production, it is a very exciting musical with lots of fabulous songs and dance routines. Preparations
have already been going on for weeks with the production team being in full force. All students in grades 1, 2 and 5 will be a part of this year’s production and through their Performing Arts classes will
learn and practice their parts for the show. Children from grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 will have the opportunity to audition for
a cast role. On Friday 21 April there be an information session for students interested in auditioning for the major
roles. The storyline and information about the different characters in the show will be given out to students.
Auditions will be held early in Term 2 and we have allocated a whole day. All students who auditioned will know if
they have been successful at the end of the day. Even if you don’t get the role you auditioned for there are still lots of ways to be in the production - dancers, chorus,
behind the scenes, making props, the list is endless! Students who are interested in a major role could have a look at Seussical Jnr on YouTube to see what it looks like and
what characters may appeal to them.
Watch this space for more information on our exciting production…
