A più di un anno dall’entrata in vigore di Solvency II, la seconda Conferenza IVASS fa il punto sulle questioni applicative ancora aperte (complessità, convergenza, proporzionalità, anche in vista della programmata revisione della formula standard), sui modelli di business e sulle strategie di crescita di medio-lungo periodo, in un contesto di mercato s�dante sia per le condizioni macroeconomiche sia per la rivoluzione tecnologica che è, allo stesso tempo, leva per creare valore e minaccia al modo tradizionale di fare assicurazione.

Al centro della discussione il segmento delle piccole e medie imprese assicurative: quali opportunità e quali rischi per loro nel “nuovo mondo”? Una ri�essione a tutto campo e un confronto con le esperienze internazionali su un comparto dimensio-nale di indiscussa rilevanza in Europa come in Italia, per evidenti ragioni prudenziali, per l’ef�cienza generale del mercato e per la protezione dei consumatori.

Dopo il saluto di benvenuto di Salvatore Rossi, Presidente IVASS, e l’apertura dei lavori da parte di Gabriel Bernardino, Presidente EIOPA, la Confe-renza si articolerà in due sessioni: la prima focalizza-ta sulle esperienze internazionali, di business e di regolazione; la seconda, introdotta da Maria Bianca Farina, Presidente ANIA, con focus sulle speci�cità del mercato italiano, anche facendo tesoro delle ri�essioni ed esperienze emerse nel primo panel.

More than a year after the entry into force of Solvency II, the second IVASS Conference takes stock of the issues still open in its application (complexity, convergence, proportionality also in light of the planned review of the standard formula), of business models and medium-long term growth strategies, in a challenging market context for both macroeconomic conditions and the digital revolution which constitutes, at the same time, a lever for creating value and a threat to the traditional way to do insurance business.

Central to the Conference is the segment of small and medium-sized insurers: what risks and opportunities for them in the “new world”? A comprehensive re�ection and an exchange of international experiences in a sector of unquestionable relevance both in Europe and in Italy, for obvious prudential reasons, for overall market ef�ciency, for consumer protection.

After the welcome address by Salvatore Rossi, President of IVASS, and the keynote speech by Gabriel Bernardino, President of EIOPA, the conference will be divided into two panels: the �rst will mainly focus on international experiences, both at business and regulatory level; the second, whose work will be opened by Maria Bianca Farina, President of ANIA (Italian Insurance Association), on the peculiarities of the Italian market, also building upon the re�ections and experience gained in the �rst panel.
